COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale contains no actual copper but we’re pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots’a nice caramel malt though... Originally 5.9% alcohol by volume, currently

Ungstrup (29477) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2005
A hazy orange beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is very hoppy - so much that grass mixes in. The flavor is sweet and more grassy than hoppy, combined with notes of caramel, and alcohol. The alcohol gives You the warmth while drinking this.

(Bottle 35 cl) Copper coloured with a slight haze and a small, creamy head. Very sweetish caramel flavours and a touch of aroma hops. Soft and almost candy-like. The alcohol is deceivingly well hidden. 171005

Bottled (thanks Stoutlover72). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of American hops with slight caramellish notes. Flavour is grassy, hayish, malty and hoppy. Quite boring brew. Though for being 7.7% it hides the alcohol very well.

Draught at Kennedy’s, San Francisco. Brownish amber, miniscule head. Rich grapefruityhop aroma. Dryish, fresh and clean. Crisp and drinkable. A straight forwardhop driven beer with good salty bitterness.

4th August 2010. GBBF.
Hazy brown beer with a littler white head. Light semi dry palate. Sweetish lactose malt with a bit of fruit underneath. Overall it’s a pretty simple beer lacking the usual Lagunitas ’wow’ factor.

Copper color; creamy head. Simple aroma, with some caramel, brown sugar, fennel; at times perfumy (I guess they are by-products of the fermentation). Good body strength, huge caramel flavor, a bit dry, some toffee. The hopping is both bold and also lightly aromatic. Simple but enjoyable.
