This ale contains no actual copper but we’re pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots’a nice caramel malt though... Originally 5.9% alcohol by volume, currently

This one shocked me when I learned the ABV on it. It pours a clear amber, with a small off-white head. The smell is a hint of malt, and little else. The flavor is that of a heavier red ale, with a nice lasting mouthfeel. This is one that I enjoy, and will be getting again.

Pours a rich brownish copper, clear except for some floaty bits. Aroma is rich spicy malt. Flavour is full as well as the body. The finish is slightly sweet.

rusty copper color.. crystal clear.. deep orange.. short head that dropped in no time... no lacing. Bready malts and piney hops are front and central.. some fruitiness.. warm toastiness as it warms up. Nice medium body is appealling.. carbonation is fairly explosive but really only shows itself on my tongue.. palate is good but not great.. caramel and munich malts.. American hops... biscuity finish with a blast of pine.

This has been one of the best beers from Lagunitas that I’ve had, lots of good malty flavor lightly hopped easy drinking.

Poured from bottle. Nice aroma of bread and honey. Appearance is copper with big lacing head. Tasting caramel, hops, pepper, molasses, banana, spice. Palate is actually a bit thin considering all the flavors. Overall, an interesting brew.
