Thanks to iNBe. Big flavor for a low abv beer. Very pale yellow, the missus thought I was drinking a lager. Big hop aroma and flavor. Slightly unbalanced by the low malt but still works. Serving: Bottle

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. A pale straw pour with a skim of a beige head. A very pleasing aroma of Mandarin oranges, lemonade, tropical fruits, peaches, zesty citrus rinds, Sour Patch Kids, some grapefruits, and hints of pine. Thin to medium-bodied and crisp on the way down. A semi-sweet cereal graininess upfront taste-wise. Some biscuity qualities in the middle. The finish is grassy with plenty of tart peaches and tropical citrus fruits. Herbal hints here and there. VERY sessionable.

Bottle. Very aromatic - apricots, floral, mint. Light bodied. Tropical fruit and stone fruit, herbal, grassy hops. Thin but satisfying palate. Bitter finish. Lots of flavor for 4.65%. Not quite an IPA, but a magnificent hoppy flavorful session ale.

Bottled. Pours clear pale orange with little head. Bright aroma of citrus and grassy hops and honey-vanilla-cereal malt. Medium bitter flavor. Light body and thin texture, crisp, bitter-astringent finish. Outside of style for sure.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I was sort of excited for this because I knew it was fresh with a julian date of 234 meaning it was bottled on 8/21. That was nine days ago! Bright yellow, looks more like a lager or a very, very pale ale than an IPA. Good head, sticky lacing up the sides of the glass. Smell is super hoppy, mostly fuzzy peaches. Taste is also quite hoppy yet fleeting and touched by a bit of grainy malt. I don’t want to say this is watery but it is very thin. Great for drinking during the day, getting your hop fix and not getting knocked out.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet tropical fruit and resin aromas. Dry with sweet caramel, bread and and papaya upfront turning to resin and grapefruit in the lasting finish.

Golden colour. Aroma is very hoppy (green, piney). Has a sharp citric edge making it a good thirst quencher. Shame that it was too gassy served from the tap.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Crisp, very light golden coloured body with a thin, soapy white head and a few bubbles rising up against a pale yellow colour. Aroma of pungent light and grassy hops with some hay, yeast, resin and a bit more citrus notes coming through - but all hops, for sure. Light-bodied; Very mild malts coming through, but a good grassy hop note and a light texture with some herbal, fragrant and perfumey hop flavours. Aftertaste is super light with a bit of yeast, some minor herbs, but mostly very minor, grassy hops coming through with no backbone at all of malt. Overall, pretty disappointed with this after seeing good scores and a very nice smell. Good to see a different take on an IPA, but this hasn’t got a malt backbone at all to stand up to the hops, which fade away after a few seconds - tastes like a bit more hoppy anchor steam. I sampled this twelve ounce, stubby Lagy bottle, purchased from Giant Food in Falls Church (Bailey’s Crossroads), Virginia on 11-October-2012 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 19-November-2012.
