4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I would call this one of the best sessionable beers available. Most taste like 50/50 water and beer, but Daytime stays true to the Lagunitas legacy with an abundance of hoppy bitter goodness

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hops, hops, and more hops when you put your nose to it, and itís pungent. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. You can taste the musk on this one. Itís a medium bitter. Itís a light body with a sticky texture and a slight bitter finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
355ml bottle from Saveur-biere
Pours pale yellow with a small head. Aroma of crisp malts, tropical fruits, pine, citrus and grass. Taste is crisp, hoppy and malty with loads of pine, buttery sweetness, citrus and grass. Finish is crisp, bitter and hoppy with some pine and resinous sweetness. Quite refreshing and piney hop bomb.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent gold with white head. Smells solid too; tropical and citrus hops with a touch of well-balanced sweetness from the malt. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly light mouthfeel. Super-sessionable. I like this one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Clear yellow color. Thin white head. Some loose bits of lace. Light to medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. Thereís a certain slightly soft Lagunitas texture to the carbonation that gets a little getting used to, and a noticeably lighter body, but otherwise the texture is good. Good grassy hop, kind of zesty. Good mild clean bready malt. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, minimal sweet. More dry finish. Solid, lighter session IPA. A bit too light in body to substitute a full strength IPA though.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. No date on the bottle but fresh on the shelf this week and tastes fresher than I remember having it previously. And as always, freshness is a big deal with these session IPAs. Pours very light and clear, looks like a lager. Getting big punchy hops up front with light malt. Not harsh, bitter, or overly thin. I donít love this style but I do enjoy both hops and afternoon beers so I keep coming back. This one does the job when itís fresh like this.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Being English and heavily into the growing craft scene many foreign beers are compared with our national counterparts. This one has a doppelganger. It looks, smells, tastes and resembles Kernel Pale Ales. Very light lemon in colour with clean white head that dissapates rapidly (unlike Kernel). Citrus led aroma, with lemon and some grapefruit. Spicy pangs and some florals. Fresh and inviting if a little one-paced. Taste is more citrus and spicy, floral bitterness. Malt makes a cameo appearance in biscuit form. Light palate but does not faill into the oft-seen trap of becoming watery.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured into a shaker. Light gold color with a small white head. Aroma is very hop forward with lots of floral and citrus character. Flavor starts with some light biscuity malt and transitions into floral and citrusy hop notes. Nicely hopped and very fresh tasting. Medium-light body with crisp carbonation. Awesome for a lighter session IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a pale yellow, with light white head. The color of a bud or Coors light. Aroma is hoppy, light citrus notes and pine notes. Taste is grapefruit peel, citrus. Juicy body, with a somewhat dry and bitter finish. Light malts. Pretty good session beer!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It took me three different bottle openers to get the beer out of this, so it had better be good! (Harumph!) It (eventually) pours a pale yellow body, moderately bubbly, with a modest white head. Thereís little trace of malt in the aroma and the hops come across in a zesty, citric, and (alas) cat box fashion. The flavor has a mild cereal and bread malt backbone with hop tastes reflective of the nose. Thereís only a mild bitterness to it. The finish is a bit watery with a light lemon bitterness. Just okay.
