3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear, light yellow with a three finger, white head. Aroma is bright with mild, herbal notes, grass, and slight pine/tropical fruits/lemon citrus. Taste is balanced. Kind of like a herbal/grassy/piney/lemon citrus with a bit of toasted bread and a short aftertaste. Low-medium body with a medium carbonation. Clean and refreshing in the mouth. Overall a tasty session beer. A bit more grassy/herbal/toasted bready than I usually go for but it is good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
That wonít make any sense to you if you havenít seen the BBC America Animal specials. On to the review.
A: Cloudy gold with a white cloud head. Lacing.
N: Grapefruit, spruce, biscuit and cracker. Blood oranges and earth. Leafy. Not an overly complex nose, but it sure is nice.
T: Quiet bitterness that evolves into something needling. Light malt base.
M: Sharp carbonation, light body. No alcohol as one would hope.
O: Lagunitas continues to give us solid, enjoyable beer. I mean, this could be closer to Sucks, but all their IPAs could. (And thatís not really a fair comparison given the malt/hop bill differences.)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Clear pale gold with a thick rocky white head. Aroma is almost entirely pine and earth with a light lemon underpinning. Taste still has a huge pine factor but the citrus comes out a lot more with hints of grapefruit, tangerine and orange. Not much of a maul presence. Medium creamy mouthfeel with a little carbonation on the tip of the tongue. This packs a ton of flavor and aroma for a session beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I poured a 12oz bottle into a goblet. It was bottled on 7/23/14 and cost $3.20 ($0.27 per ounce).
Appearance: Pale lager-like white gold hue over a mostly clear body. Spastic effervescence clearly visible. Pours to a three-finger, white, fluffy head that retains and laces extremely well.
Smell: Huge dank resin and tropical fruit juice concentrate. Very sweet and inviting.
Taste: There seems to be a formula to the ďSession IPA,Ē yet some breweries hit it out of the park and others strike out. Lagunitas DayTime is definitely is one of the former as it has both great taste and complexity Ė qualities you donít tend to get in a small brew like this.
Many session IPAs tend to taste like hoppy water, but this one has a genuine malt foundation to it. Light, pilsner-like malts with just a hint of smokiness or bready character. The hops are quite prominent to say the least. A strong spicy sensation at first with herbal characteristics. They transition to something earthier, like pine needles through the middle and finish with a classic lemony citrusy flavor on the finish. Usually, this type of palette would grow old quick, but in this case it works perfectly.
Drinkability: This beer does exactly what itís supposed to do: deliver big flavor while still being refreshing and sessionable. The mouthfeel is thin and crisp, but always smooth going down and leaves nary an aftertaste (maybe a hint of lemon peel). At 4.65% ABV itís definitely in the session-able range for most people, though considering how good it tastes and easy it drinks, I doubt many people will have a problem throwing back a few of these (if only it came in cans!).

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 mL bottle. Nice looking beer. Hops are a balance of citrus and pine. Not sweet. Dcent mouthfeel for the style. Better than, say, Stone Go To. Just need to up the hop flavour a touch, while avoiding the all-pine solution that so many of these session IPAs use.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy gold with a white head. Pine resin and peppery hops in the aroma. Grassy and citrusy at the start with kind of a grapefruit and flower combo. Quickly dries out to a very bitter and astringent finish.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 12oz bottle a very light golden color with a pillowy head of small bubbles. Nice citrus hop aroma. Taste is very light with minimal bitterness. It's honestly a bit too thin and watery for my liking.

As of late I can not find the time to take tasting notes of each beer I sample. I would like to track and record my thoughts of each so I will just use the simple scoring rubric until more time is available.
