COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sometimes you want a beer, then you realize how much crap you need to do before you call it a day. This is it. Nicely dosed with Big, Round Hop Flavors and a Toasty Malt Foundation to satisfy your every need. But it still lets you stay in the game to do what needs to be done. Yup.

Bottle. Pours a clear light yellow color with a nice fizzy head Grassy aroma with some lemon zest. Some hops in there as well. Really light taste with some hops and a dry finish. Very delightful. Not as potent as other Lagunitas beers, but a very good brew.

Bottle: The aroma is a nice combination of mango, melon, pine, floral notes, and a touch of lemon peel. It pours a transparent gold with a one finger white head that fades to a thin film within a minute or so. There is some spotty lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a good dose of mango and melon. The finish has moderate pine with light lemon and some floral notes. Itís light bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, a very easy drinking IPA. Iíll be picking up more than just a single the next time I see it.

Location: 12 oz bottle a friend grabbed for me at some store in Florida, 12/18/12

Aroma: The nose is fruity hops, with some grapefruit, and some other tropical and citrus fruits.
Beyond that thereís some light toasted malts, and some pine/resin hops as well.
Appearance: It pours a slightly unclear golden-orange color with a rim of white head and light lace
Flavor: The taste has a clean bitterness and a good, though on the light side, sweetness for balance
Palate: It drinks lighter, though not watery at all, with a clean feel, average carb, and tons of drinkability
Overall Impression: I was quite excited for this one when it came out, but then I couldnít find it anywhere, so big thanks to Jordan who saw this in a store over his Thanksgiving trip to Florida and grabbed me one!! Beyond that, this one really delivers what it promises. It really is a clean, easy drinking, session IPA. It turned out great, and I was excited the hops werenít dead, because I donít know how long this bottle sat on the shelf, but it must have been a while, because it was purchased in the end of November. Anyway, I could drink a ton of this. Leave it to Lagunitas to basically invent and master the Light IPA style. I really have no complaints other then the scarcity. Put this in a can and sell it in 6 packs for about $8 and this would be a perfect beach/tailgate beer.

On tap at Tylerís, Durham. Great to see so many quality craft breweries putting thought into well-balanced session beers, and this is one of the finer examples. Nice light orange pour, billowy carbonation. Dry hops and citrus in the nose, giving an impression of overall crispness. Certainly borne out in the light, elegant flavors. Plenty of depth and complexity though, all the traits of an IPA at sub-5%. Kudos.
