4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2014 Nice grapefruit hop aroma; light bready malt. Grapefruit citrus, mild pepper hop flavor. Really light malt, and moderated bitterness Gave this a 14 overall in the previous review, so it looks like I did indeed like this beer more in the summer.
(12/1/12) Fruity, herbal hop flavor and aroma. Really light malt flavor. Should try again if itís still around in the summer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours translucent golden amber capped by a small off white head. Nose is bustling with light caramel, grapefruit, and mango. Taste is even more an explosion of tropical fruit. Bitterness is solid and over balances. Medium to light body make this extremely gulpable. I would still have a tough time make this a session as it is too drying to the palate.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottled August 22nd 2012. Served at around 40F.
Pours mostly clear, ever so slightly hazy gold with a two finger white head that recedes to a nice cap and leaves pretty drippy rings of lacing behind.
Aroma is citrus, primarily lemon, floral hops, light bready malt. Very good strength. Simple, but effective.
Flavor follows suit with juicy lemon hops, a little grapefruit and orange, hint of pine, bready/cracker malt which is light and unobtrusive, nice bitterness, no alcohol. Finishes dry and light.
Mouthfeel is light/medium bodied, a little sticky, good carbonation.
IMO they nailed it on this one. Really nice hop aroma and flavor, good bitterness, but keepiní the alcohol low, making for a very tasty Session IPA. Even at 3 months old itís still got big aroma and flavor. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thereís a little grapefruit in all of this. The smell makes it a decent IPA from the get-go. Not much malt, just a crisp, hoppy IPA. Has good lacing, pours golden clear. Leave is minimal without much palate. Medium carbonation. On tap at Blue Monk.

Does it always have to be big? I donít know. Probably not... but when I drink this one I canít help but feel like thereís something missing. The aroma is full and floral and on the palate you do get a nice blast of bitterness, but there just isnít much there behind it. Okay but I canít see desiring it strongly.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Itís a glorious night: -11C, no wind, fat, slow snowflakes. Out on my fave stairwell in the river valley with my bike and beer. At this point Iím totally covered in snow so I should get to this. iPhone light shows that this is a light pale gold brew. Smells delish! Grapefruit, orange/peach split, lime and lemon, caramel is there as a good base. Sweet pine too. Smells really good - candy sweet at times and it makes my mouth water. This is the coldest beer Iíve had in ages - mainly cuz itís been sitting in the glass for half an hour as Iíve just been sitting back enjoy absorbing the beauty and wonder that is the west side Edmonton river valley. The taste is quite good but there is a thinness to this one that make it seem watery. The citrus is light overall in power so I assume that piles on as well to that thought. Pine, peach, rrgf, zip and enough bitterness to appease my tasting lumps. Pretty positive that an animal has broken through the ice on the opposite side of the river. Heading home for my car, a rope and an axe to go for a wander in the dark to see if this is indeed the case.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to iNBe. Big flavor for a low abv beer. Very pale yellow, the missus thought I was drinking a lager. Big hop aroma and flavor. Slightly unbalanced by the low malt but still works. Serving: Bottle

Bottle. A pale straw pour with a skim of a beige head. A very pleasing aroma of Mandarin oranges, lemonade, tropical fruits, peaches, zesty citrus rinds, Sour Patch Kids, some grapefruits, and hints of pine. Thin to medium-bodied and crisp on the way down. A semi-sweet cereal graininess upfront taste-wise. Some biscuity qualities in the middle. The finish is grassy with plenty of tart peaches and tropical citrus fruits. Herbal hints here and there. VERY sessionable.
