3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Man! What a great sessionable beer! Not sure how Lagunitas packed that much hop flavor in a beer so light, but they did. Aroma was delicious. Grassy hops, hay and even notes of pollen. Pour was a nice light gold with plenty of rising bubbles and and a one finger white head. Taste was bursting with hop flavor. The grassy and hay flavor was joined by mango and and melon flavors. Very light sticky and prickly malt backbone. Nice carbonation round this beer out. Great beer that I will seek out again.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pale golden body with a thick lasting white head. Aroma and flavour are guided by lovely bold tropical fruit hop character, lots of guava and passionfruit. Underlying malts are light, but the hops here are so aromatically pleasant that it doesn’t matter. This IPA may be light on ABV, but it doesn’t scrimp on flavour. Another great brew from Lagunitas.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden body with a small white head. The aroma is Amarillo-esque with some biscuit and toasted notes. The flavor is similar, maltier than it looks. Finishes crisp with light bitterness. Pretty good.

Really liked this beer. It has a real light taste with a just a hint of hops. Laguniitas has an outstanding beer line and I would recommend their beers to everyone.

Bottle from Spirits Lacey. pours out a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, light tropical fruits and a little bit of crisp, toasty malt notes in there. Taste is lightly bready/toasted grain malt notes, light fruit, acidic hop notes, citrus and light grassy notes in there as well. Definitely a nice session.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear pale straw yellow with a one finger white head fading to a thin layer of bubbles. Ok lacing.
Aroma is full of citrus hops. Lots of passion fruit and grapefruit. A tiny bit of pale malt is evident but hops really dominate.
This carries over into the flavor. Moderate to high bitterness begins immediately and tropical fruit flows across the tongue. A very tiny bit of pale malt and toast is in the background but hops really dominate. Mouthfeel is on the watery side as can be expected from a beer of this strength (or lack thereof).
Overall, this is a very tasty session beer that packs great flavor in a small package. Mouthfeel does suffer but it is a small price to pay for having a tasty light beer. Other brewers really need to explore this type of beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden beer with a white head. Lively carbonation gives this beer a very effervescent look. Aromas are of powerful hops, smells of fresh cut grass. Tastes of fresh cut grass, lots of spruce, pine hops, very forest-like flavors. Decent malt backbone works with the hops in harmony. There is a tiny hint of grapefruit in the finish, but the finish is mostly of bitter hops. Very tasty, and drinkable. I recommend this to anyone looking for an IPA with some bite without the high ABV.

Bottle thanks to John. Pours straw gold - semi-cloudy- with quickly dissipating white head. Nose/taste of grapefruit, pine, light resin, toasted grain and soap. Finishes dry pine and a little soapy. Lighter bodied.
