White head with strong fresh hoppy aroma. Burnt orange in color. Starts wheaty and progresses to match the aroma's hoppiness, with a strong bitter, hoppy finish.

found this in a box in the cellar. It had malt forward with some hops. Nice brown-orange and still drinkable. Refreshing break from big IPA’s.

Seems that I may have sat on this one for too long. Oxidized to heck with some dark fruits, molasses and toffee. No carbonation so the mouthfeel was flat and muddy.

Pours golden orange, citrusy, malty, nutty, spicey, little grainy, little alcohol, slight dry finish.

Tasted at the RBSG. Clear amber color with no head. Sweet malty pine aroma. Kick ass smooth malty taste; quite good.

Bottle sampled in June 2006: Pours a slightly hazy copper with a thin, lightly-lacing white head. Aroma of slightly aged sweet caramel malt and some faint piny hops. Body starts with nicely sweet caramel maltiness and balanced with some earthy, lightly citrusy hops. Finishes bittersweet and viscous hiding its alcohol well. A nice American strong ale.

Poured a slightly hazed golden amber with a thin off-white head. Sweet fruity malt aroma. Light aged notes. Some citrus hops. Fruity malt flavor. Light alcohol notes. Sweet on the finish witha medium body.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 RooftopRogue (423) - Champaign, Illinois, USA - DEC 11, 2005
My rating is for the 10th Anniversary of this beer. An aroma of hops and an every so slight aroma of grapefruit. The color of a third place medal in the Olympics and with a head the size of the gold medal winner’s. This beer has a lot of carbonation that lesson the bitterness of the hops.

22oz bottle. Sweet malty sharp nose with some light spices and a tinny brown sugar note. Tastes pretty much the same: some light alcohol, a bit strong, which surprised me, but overall it has a nice, crisp but heavy brown sugar, wood and Irish whiskey.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2005
Golden hazy body with a thick fluffy white head and decent lacing. Aroma is sweet with summer citrus. Taste is bready, sweet and spicy with a moderate hoppy finish and more spice. One of the less interesting Lagunitas brews that I’ve tried.
