3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium gold color, large head. Hoppy aroma. A smooth and hoppy pale ale. Full flavor, full smooth mouthfeel. Nice floral hoppyness. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very clear honey-golden color with a large creamy head that stays with you to the end and leaves a lovely lace on the glass. Sweet and biting hop notes to the nose that makes it smell like a potential hop-monster; though, it really isn’t. Fairly mellow and well balanced up front with some pepperyness toward the middle. Toward the end there is a ton of hop bitterness. The beer seems a bit light and watery in the mouth.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hoppy and toasty aroma. White head, not very big but it lasts, golden colored. Hoppy flavor, a little thin, then some fruitiness in the finish. I drank some Red Seal right before this, so it feels a little thin on my palate. Overall an enjoyable beer, but not as good as their IPA or their double IPA.

This beer rocks.
This hazy, golden ale smells great... very spicey and a bit acrid. The beer is perfectly balanced and is extremely fizzy & dry in the mouth. WAY CARBONATED. A great summer beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This pours good and clear and has a nice amber color with a frothy head that smells like raisons and pears. The taste is pretty light and balanced with a small hoppy floral finish. If you like Pale Ale, this is a nice one.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Incredible head that began as soon as the cap was removed, and didn’t stop. The head is a root-beer-head color and the aroma is an interesting mild, sweet/sharp. The color is that of unfiltered honey. The flavor is interesting, but finishes really antiseptic -- like Pine Sol. It has a a very interesting quality, but overall really doesn’t do it for me.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer jumped out of the bottle -- took me 15 minutes to pour it because of the foaminess. At the end, though, I had a nice looking cloudy, light amber beer. The aroma is pine anitseptic -- can anyone say Pine Sol (thanks Kathy for pointing that out)? But assuming one can get past that, the flavor is much more solid -- the pine hoppiness is strong, but is balanced well with the malts. A very schizophrenic beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is the best APA I have had outside of SN. The cascade hops came out in the aroma and in the taste. It sort of reminded me of a RedHook IPA. What saved it from becoming a RedHook IPA was the notes of malt which jumped out in the end to balance this bad boy out. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Great gateway pale ale.
