Pours a golden clear with 1-2 finger white head and heavy lacing. Bitter grapefruit hops drive throughout. Toasted, bready malt flavors. Medium bodied with sticky mouthfeel. Very long finish. Respectable Pale Ale!

love this pale ale from lagunitas. like all their beers, it is super easy to drink, hoppy, and nicely bitter. had out of a bottle at haymarket in chicago. pours yellowish in color.

Draft in William K in Helsinki/kamppi. Golden orangey colour. About 10 srm. Strong new world hop nose for a pale ale. Very much like founders centennial on the nose. Passion fruit, honey, bit pop corn and alcohol and strong bitterness on aftertaste. Bit too much in my opinion... Thin steady head bit krausen-like and very sexy lacing (irregular but Nice). A bit too bitter in my opinion but good beer!

Flaska från SB. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med vit skum. Dofter av grape och tallbarr. Lagom sötma matchas av en amerikansk humlebeska.

BTBF. Light orange color. Hoppy nose, citrus, sappy. Sweet notes. Flavor is dank, hops, musty notes, dry and a bit rough on the finish.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a slightly clear gold/yellow body with a one finger white foamy head, streams of carbonation are seen rising at a moderate pace, some clingy lacing sticks to the pint glass throughout the entire drink. The smell had a strong citrusy hops up front, a slight amount of caramel and bread follow up as it warms. The taste was bittersweet all the way down, wow! slight bittersweet aftertaste, crisp yet smooth finish. On the palate, it was light, sessionable, carbonated exactly the way it should be, smooth all around. Overall, wow, what a nice APA, I can’t believe I’ve passed up on this so many times and now I’ve finally had it and am kicking myself for not having it sooner.

Aroma is fine, some citrus hop notes. No malt. The mouthfeel is clean with an aggressive hop finish. The flavor is dominated by hops and the beer has a pleasant hops citrus flavor but a harsh hops finish. I would expect a Pale ale to be more balanced. This should not taste like an IPA.

A typical American Pale Ale; not too bitter or hoppy. Floral aroma, smooth finish, clear dark blond. - March Madness 2014

This is a fine example of a American pale ale. Hoppy, but light and not overpowering. It would be good in the summer months when you need to battle the oppressive heat. Watch the review: http://teamchug.com/?p=791

A modern American pale ale: hoppy with a high ABV. More substantial than I expected, almost an amber or copper ale. Bitter flavor with citrus and some subtle notes of grass, hay, and cereal malt.
