3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ap - hazy golden-orange body with a medium white head. Retention is limited to some spotty lacing.
Ar - Not a lot going extra going on here. Average smell for a pale ale. Gentle caramel malt with some citrusy hops.
P - The body is light to medium and enhanced by a very fine and natural carbonation. It’s quite creamy and smooth across the palate - almost velvety!
T - The rich caramel-laced malt returns in the flavor, laced with spicy and floral hops and backed by a firm bitterness that balances the sweetness and dries the bold withering finish. The end of this beer is very different from the beginning. Interesting for a beer that starts out so soft. Aftertaste is like liquid dandelions.
O - Quite drinkable. I would drink this over and over again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A modern American pale ale: hoppy with a high ABV. More substantial than I expected, almost an amber or copper ale. Bitter flavor with citrus and some subtle notes of grass, hay, and cereal malt.

Fresh 12oz Bottle at home - Dogtown Pale has everything that I’m looking for in a American Pale Ale. It has dry citrus hops upfront, sweet malts and piney bittering hops in the back. Dogtown is bright and crisp, well balance and full of hop goodness! Classic American Pale Ale.
