COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lagunitas enlisted a mix of members from bands and music & beer sites to not only brew CouchTrippin’ Fusion Ale, but create a special variation of it for each show. Bands included Allen Stone, The Mowgli’s and Tumbleweed Wanderers. Plus beer minds from DC Beer, Beer Street Journal, Kim’s Bay Brews and Good Beer Hunting; and music-centric folks from FILTER Magazine, Brightest Young Things and Consequence of Sound. CouchTrippin’ Fusion Ale is dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic hops.

Draft. Clear deep amber color, cream colored head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of nutty brown bread, some fruit. Taste is fruity caramel, light toast. Very tasty.

There just is some weird underarm flavor in lagunita I just don't like. This isn't a bad beer but just something isn't my thing. Good head. Nearly good except for the arm pit ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Thirsty Monk Biltmore Park. Pretty good for the style. Pours a murky brown with a khaki head. Interesting mix of hops, but works. Super charged Mosaic-" first born child of Simcoe"- is tempered by crispness and white wine notes of Nelson Sauvin. Starts with the pine/citrus/ stonefruit/ earthy/ leafy notes of Mosaic and finishes nice and crisp. Drinks somewhat malty and very smooth. Medium mouthfeel. Not overly carbonated. One of the more interesting brown ales I have had.

Draft at Sonka Irish Pub. Pours a clear deep amber with a finger of frothy khaki head that leaves lace that Never settles. Notes of tea, leafy and citrusy hops, brown sugar, toasted and chocolate malts. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Nice sweet (malty) and hoppy balance.

Tap at Oblivion. Pours a dark gold with fluffy head. Huge berry, stone fruit and melon hop aroma. Light clean dry body with light hop bitterness. Refreshing.

Very hoppy brew. The aroma is all hops, citrus, pine, tropical fruit. The flavor has a sweet malt start and then the hops kick in. Dry and refreshing. On tap at Pinocchio's ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Mad Mex Shadyside. Pours brown with a half inch of khaki foam. Leaves a little bit of lacing. Nice leafy hop note on the tongue. I get a bit of nuttiness but it’s the hops that shine through finishes clean. It’s an interesting fusion.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark amber, good tan head cover, streaks and bands of lace. Taste is watery malt that doesn’t improve through the palate, moving to a mild hop infusion in the finish. I’m surprised at the thin quality of this - a disappointing brew.

Tap at Hy vee; awesome. Pour is dark copper with a medium beige head. Aroma is pine hop, light citrus and light roasted malt. Almost smells like a black IPA. A little sticky too. Flavor is pine hop up front followed by light orange notes and light caramel malt. Solid beer, especially for being on tap at the grocery store.
