Tap. Hazy, pale golden, fine pearling, white lace. Fine citric hop base, a hint exotic fruit. Velvety mouthfeel, citrus flower finish. Fine mellow citrus flavor.

Tap at Milltown. Lighly hazy yellow straw pour with think foamy white head. Nose is citrus, florals, lots of grass, light cannabis. Flavor is nicely balanced, on the bitter side of things, again very grassy with citrus zest. Wow, can’t believe this is 3.6%. Pretty amazing body and balance if that is indeed true. Perfect lunch beer and another impressive pale ale from Lagunitas. They should replace their regular ipa and Maximus with this and sucks and I would buy a lot more of their stuff.

Tap. Foamy pure white head on a light clear lemon gold. Lots of bursting grapefruit in the aroma with a light crackery malt background. Flavor isn’t as aggressive as the aroma but quite light, nice grapefruit and resin hops and again a bit crackery. Lighter soft body.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear yellow with a white head. The aroma is fresh with citrus and hints of coniferous tree, mango and minor menthol aromatics. The flavor is lightly spicy and citrusy with lemon and a very light malt profile. Reminds me of Daytime. Really good.

Draft. Golden beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and tropical fruit aroma. Malt and light tropical fruit flavor with light grapefruit. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Light malt and light grapefruit linger with light tropical fruit.

On draft at westover beer haus. Pours black with a tan head. Hoppy aroma. Some notes of toasted malts and coffee. Mild bitter finish.

illidurit (2121) - Petaluma, California, USA - APR 10, 2013
On tap at burger. in Santa Cruz. Listed as 4.9% abv though? Anyway, this beer pours a clear pale gold with a frothy white head. Nice citrusy aroma, grapefruit and maybe pineapple. Flavor is a little duller, with pale malts, a light sweetness, and a zesty pine/citrus hoppiness washing into a dry finish. Pretty decent.

Tap. Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium white creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus and light passionfruit. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet and lightly bitter - not quite up to the promise of the aroma. Light body, somewhat watery in the mouth. Kind of like Daytime in that it has a great hop base that it cannot quite live up to in the flavor, but given that it is a 3.6% beer, this is pretty impressive. I could see myself dropping a six pack of this on a summer day in the yard.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours brassy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is sort of floral grapefruit. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly perfumey grapefruit with a little light malt. It’s very pleasant in a light way, and certainly has a lot of hoppy bitter. It almost gives a hop burn. Should be excellent session ale if it ever gets into wide distribution.
