As you already know, this brew was designed as hybrid of WTF and Daytime with elements of Sucks thrown in, I have included a picture of how the brew progressed for those that like O.G.s and F.G.s. The gravity of the wort was a little higher than expected, owed to the efficiency of the brewhouse and the Daytime mash profile. Fermentation went very well and the beer finished out in about 3 days, also at a lower F.G. than expected. As a result the alcohol was indeed higher than expected, in fact the lab results just came in and our Brown Ale is 5.5% ABV. We did in fact choose Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin for the dry hop, but we also included two more of our favorites, the elusive and rare Citra and and the ever sexy Mosaic (dry hopped at 1.6 lbs/BBL). After 3 days of extraction, 2 days of cooling, and another 2 days cold stable, the beer was filtered bright last night (July 31st), and packaged this morning (August 1st). The beer is decidedly dry and drinkable, with the impressive bouquet of hop aromas and resinous kettle hop being the main event. Delicate, slightly toasted malts and a spicy rye malt backbone remain subdued, but ever present.Short version:I think as Jeremy put it on the day of recipe forumulation: "An easy drinking, hoppy brown ale."

Draft at SB, under the moniker "Copper Corral (Fusion 17)," presented at 3.8%. Pours a clear medium amber with burnished golden edges and a dense, creamy off-white head that sticks around. Bright sweet nose, showing beautiful lemony white wine nose with powerful tangy grapefruit and apricot notes. Incredible aromatics for 3.8%. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel with white wine and bright fruity notes on the mid palate. Very refreshing and appealing, with amazing power in the flavors and aromas for this ABV.

Sample at Daily Growler. Cloudy dark reddish-brown color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, hops and pine. Light to medium--bodied with flavors of piney hops, roast malt and citrus. The finish is malyt up front with a short resiny hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours a murky reddish brown worth beige fizz. The aroma is very wort like, earthy grains worth some sweetness and musty hops. The flavor starts like a simple brown but builds into a nice easy to drink brown ipa. Darker than an amber ipa but not quite rich and chocolaty, it finds some middle ground, tho the grains come off simple through the drink. The hops are nice and rich, dried flowers and lightly earthy with some lingering musty dry smorgasboard or hop flavors. Interesting, kind of a catch all of lagunitas flavors, but maybe not as good as its parts.
