Draft at Madrone’s in Frederick, MD. Served in a snifter glass, clear golden-amber color with minimal off-white head. Aroma of strong citrus/pine hops (leans grapefruit and pine wood) with faint malt sweetness. Taste adds notes of hop nuances (pineapple, orange, resin, grass) and lighter caramel/bread malt nuances. Heavy-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, sticky, rich with heavy citrus bitter finish lingering. It’s a heavy delicious hop bomb.

Dark copper. Cloudy. Lacing. Citrus. Quite hoppy. Lasting bitterness. Couldn’t have too many of these.

On tap @ the Alehouse in a 10oz pour right after a Pliny the Younger during SF Beer Week. Clear, dark gold, with no real head. Smells like a pine tree with tropical fruit like pineapple, mango and some grapefruit. Tastes amazing - super fruity with peaches, pineapple, citrus, and caramel. Lagunitas says this is a "uber hoppy imperial oat wine"...what? This is one of the best DIPAs (this is really a TIPA) that I have ever tasted. Lagunitas uses oats is Sucks and this is Sucks deluxe. Is Lagunitas on fire or what?! Try this if you ever see it. Does not taste like a 10+%. Remember I compared it to a Pliny the Younger. Hmmm...

Growler fill at state line..pours a light copper color..slight ring like white head..nose is hop dominant with citrus abound mango..candied pineapple.mouthfeel is decent..clean..fresh without being a palate destroyer..does have some nice sticky coating hop goodness..finishes a bit sweet with traces of honey..after having hop slam recently it would be hard to tell the two apart..but the mouthfeel here is not as good...decent stuff..

Pours a blonde gold hue with a thin head. Aroma is very hoppy with some citrus and a sweet smell. Taste is mild hops with some fantastic middle tones that are sweet and well balanced. Palate is mild hops and citrus with a sweet finish of maybe sugar and vanilla. Great IPA!

Draft at hudson public. Pours a cloudy burnished dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head that lasts forever. Big biright sweet orange, pineapple, mango, and caramel nose. Creamy thick body with lively carb. Sweet caramel, citrus, and tropical notes on the mid palate. Long sweet lightly bitter finish. Very nice--balanced and approachable, no booze bite.
