Tap @ The Bistro’s 2010 10th Annual Double IPA Festival. A yellow color with an amazing aroma of crisp pine needles. This reminded me of Hop Stupid a little bit but the flavor was rather light.

Tasted on tap at the 10th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/6/2010. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and grapefruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Medium bitterness. Touch of citrus and orange. Perhaps a touch thin. Mouthfeel is a little thin but round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Not my favorite hop loaded beer by a long shot. That said, I’d not turn down a free one. Very bitter in an odd way... lingers in the mouth in an unpleasant way. I’ve tried it three times and found it good the first time, but not thrilled the other two. Next...

On tap at the Bistro DIPA Fest poured a clear gold with a quickly disapating white head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, light grapefruit and a hint of pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
