3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
From bottle to tulip. Beautiful looking reddish gold brown color. Aroma was spicy with hops. I am saying it is a good beer but not my style. I prefer IPAs and belgiums over an american ale.

Bottle. Amber color with a Medium slightly creamy body. Aroma of rich floral hops, pine, caramel malt, & some fruit. Flavor of sweet malt, caramel, pine hops, citrus, and spice. Finish is slightly bitter. I donít taste the ABV too much. Nicely balanced.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz bottle from my brother. Pint glass.
Appearance: Pours an amber hue wih nice clarity. A one finger beige head. Leaves a ring of rentention. Spotty lacing.
Aroma: Citrus and piney hops. Caramel malts.
Taste: Citrusy, somewhat sweet hops. A little bit of piney bitterness. Excellent balance with smooth caramel malts.
Mouthfeel: Smooth creamy, Perfect mouthfeel. Medium bodied with good carbonation and a lingering hoppy yet balanced finish. The malts and hops just blend seamlessly. This is truly a beer with balance.
Will probably buy my own sixer of this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. I really enjoyed this one. Way to go, Lagunitas! Sugar hop scent over an amber pour with a foamy head, slight lacing. Medium body, semi sticky. Hop forward taste, slightly bitter, with a sweetness in the middle, and a grapefruit finish. Excellent!

(bottle). Aroma of full hops and caramel. Great deep amber complexion with longlasting head and lacing. Nice hop-malt balance mellowed with caramel sweetness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2012 Pours orangey and average head. Smell is initially piney and mustard-seed from the bottle, but it becomes more floral and refreshing in the glass - good. Taste is sweet (hey, itís Lagunitas!), peach mostly, and some potent ABV. Fruity, but still ale-like, and not artificial at all. Like this one - a welcome change of pace from my usual IPA, APA, and Belgian biases, even if it isnít quite mind-blowing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from 3 Cellars. Pours a very clear orangey-copper with a bit of a foamy head, terrific glass-coating lacing. Aroma has somewhat muted grassy citrus hops. Quite floral and sweet smelling. Taste brings a sweet piney-citrus flavor, with a lot of resin and some sweet caramel. Some alcohol presence. Crisp and clean. Finishes sugary and bitter without a lot of length. Not exactly what I was expecting for an AmStrong, but a nicely tasty brew probably in the "alcoholly pale ale" category.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from 12oz bottle into shaker glass. Dark amber / reddish color with tan head. Aroma is sweet malt that leads right into resinous hops. Flavor starts with a caramel and biscuity malt base and builds with a good dose of resinous and floral hop notes. Medium bodied with nice bitterness and astringency. Overall this is a really nice red!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fairly clear, dark red pour, nice amount of head. Fresh oily floral hop aroma. Some pine too, very nice. Taste is floral and fresh oily hops. Not as much malt backbone as I was hoping considering the abv. Still very tasty though.
