3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber, seems reasonably fresh from the initial swig.
Pours a copper color with a off white head that fades to a cap and sticks around a while. Aromas of caramel malt, with a 50/50 mix of pine and citrus hops. Taste is bitter and semi sweet. Flavors of citrus peel fighting against pine sap all battered in a breading of caramel toffee. Pretty nice, but with a touch more of residual sweetness than I’d like. All in all, a very decent drinkable beer at a very nice pricepoint. Love lagunitas.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear red pour with a big creamy head. Aroma is full of passion fruit. Light than expected mouth. Dry finish. Grapefruit flavor. Can’t taste the high ABV at all. Lots of lace. Maybe a little pineapple in here, super flavorful.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/7/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine. pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, caramel, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity balance of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial red ale. All around great complexity and balance of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer has an amazing copper color and pour with a thick head that lasts for days. This beer is exactly what I like about hops and none of what I don't. It is citrusy in the aroma and flavor. I like it a lot. Another big time win for Lagunitas.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured with a thick head and red-ish copper appearance. Smell has a slight hint of alcohol. The hops and malt balanced out and had a smooth finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650ml bottle. Ceremonial 7001 rating. Red amber color, huge head, beaut lacing. Lagunitas ale yeast, breadiness, caramel, citrus nad dank hops in the smell. Flavor is prickly and acidic, high alpha hops that leave a medium bitterness. Lots of toasted grain, some resin. Very nicely done. Would work much nicer in thier lineup as opposed to maximus.

Pours bronze with off white head and nice lacing. Aroma of spice, tropical fruit, and some pine. Taste is the same with sizeable malt backbone. Smooyh and drinkable. Very nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours an amber red with decent off-white head and retention. Nose is pine and citrus, tropical dankness (guava and passion-fruit), some malt hiding in the background. Mouth is medium bodied but then thins out, not as sticky as I’d imagined it would be, relatively dry, loads of pine and citrus, toasty malt backbone, long (albeit slightly muted) bitter finish. Decent and at a very nice price.
