COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum.

Beautiful dark copper colour with a tan head leaving som lace. Sweet American hop aroma, mostly on the peach and pine side. There is a hint of a sweet malty amber ale flavour, but soon enough it hits you in the head with a wonderful big and bitter hop flavour! Pine and peach all over the mouth and with a bitter grapefruit aftertaste. Yummy!

Bottle ca. 33cl from ølbutikken. no best before so i’ve got no idea if it is fresh or not. clear orange/red, thick small offwhite head. aroma is quite hoppy, very nicely hopped, underneath the hops i sense red fruits. marzipan, slight pine, slight flowers. supe aroma. as it warms up i get a slight dose of aged beer. flavor is hoppy, dark fruits. totally tasty and refreshing.

Citrus and malt aroma. Deep reddish amber color. Creamy hoppy taste, finishing with a rough bitter character. Must be a lot of malt to have some lingering sweetness side by side with the bitterness. Bittersweet. Works for me. The hops linger on the tongue, and the light citrus persists. A touch of astringency. Good stuff.

Ølbaren 2008.03.11 - Thanks Ungstrup for buying med this one :) Copper-red with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has the typical Lagunitas profile in the choice of hops and malt. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, hops and a dry, grapefruit-like bitterness.
