I really love this Imperial Red. It's big and hoppy with a lot of complexity. Don't confuse this with an IPA, this hoppy monster finishes smooth.

The smell of this red ale is vibrant. Usually the taste drives me away from red ales but this one is very smooth and full bodied.

Nice pour, amber in color with a nice tint to the head. Medium to light medium body. Not overpoweringly bitter, but enough hops to know they’re hanging out there. Really nice, really drinkable. I do it again.

Poured on tap at the Pineville Tavern, PA. Was heavy bodied and heady on tap. First hints of malts, caramel and malty goodness, followed by just enough citrus zest to cut through and make any mouth go "Ahhhhhhh."

Very nice beer. Hoppy smell, with a little fruit. Medium lasting cream coloured head.
The taste is mainly hoppy with a hint of malt. Bitter aftertaste which last quite a while.
Perfect for a solid lunch.

Malty, slightly resiny nose. Beautiful burnt orange color. Interesting balance between toasty, malty sweetness and resiny, grassy hops. Overall, it looks great and tastes good, but not really a huge fan.

A- nice clear copper red with and off white 1/4 inch head that stays around for a minute leaving lacing around the glass
S- signature lagunitas smell, minty pine, tire rubber (in a good way), pungent somewhat tickles the noise, mostly all hops but hints of bready malts can be found when you search hard
T- aah, that awesomely unique lagunitas taste, it’s why I love this brewery so much, the taste follows the nose but the bready malts make a bigger appearance that almost balances out the hops, but if you we’re to ask me to tell the difference between this and they’re maximus ipa souly on taste, I’m not sure I’d be able too...
O- I love the taste of this beer like every other lagunitas I’ve had, my problem with it is besides the copper red color, what makes it an imperial red ale? Shouldn’t there be a distinct smell/flavor that tells me "yup that’s a red ale" all I know is it was great, whatever it was...
