COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum.

Pours a light copper with thin foamy head. Smells of hops right of the bat. Sugar from the malt comes through also. Taste has some bite to it but finishes with a subtle maltiness. Lemons, pine and the typical red characteristics. Bitterness hangs on the tongue for a bit and then settles out. I really enjoyed this.

Honey-like alcohol sweetness and a moderate citrus hop aroma. Copper in color with a long-lasting off-white head. Initial taste was aggressively bitter, but upon second taste the hop bitterness blended very nicely with the low caramel malt flavor and citrusy hop bouquet. A piney hop bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. Nice Red. Medium-bodied and hopped like it should.

I really love this Imperial Red. It's big and hoppy with a lot of complexity. Don't confuse this with an IPA, this hoppy monster finishes smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The smell of this red ale is vibrant. Usually the taste drives me away from red ales but this one is very smooth and full bodied.

Very nice beer. Hoppy smell, with a little fruit. Medium lasting cream coloured head. The taste is mainly hoppy with a hint of malt. Bitter aftertaste which last quite a while. Perfect for a solid lunch.

Poured on tap at the Pineville Tavern, PA. Was heavy bodied and heady on tap. First hints of malts, caramel and malty goodness, followed by just enough citrus zest to cut through and make any mouth go "Ahhhhhhh."
