4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber ours russet color with a persistant white head. Balanced hop/malt aroma that is consistent to the finish on the palate. Fruity, caramel malt backbone. Overall, another well-balanced winner from Lagunitas.

12 oz. botle pours a ruby red color with hints of amber and brown. Huge tan head on the pour with a sugar coating of lace. The scent was of hops, citrus and some light yeasty notes. A great taste with hops dominating over malt, but not too agressively. A very spicey, piney after taste and good finish. Highly recommended ASA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bomber. Pours a deep ruby red with small off-white head. Light floral nose followed up by a biting citrus hop flavor with lots of bitter, despite the 40 IBU rating.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer smelled very hoppy yet the taste was mostly a thick yet smooth malt. Nice heavy palate with a sizeable head. Hints of caramel and slightly boozy.

This is a great beer. Dark red color with fairly robust head. Caramel and tea flavor. Light bodied and a wonderful citrus charged finish.

purchased a sixer today, never had it before
huge head, I meant huge, forms a nice crown in the middle of the beer, smells hoppy, sweet, and fruity.
Very hoppy and bitter beer, but heavy with malt as well, tastes of the typical lagunitas hoppy beer, which is good, but adding that heavy red ale quality to it that gives it a real backbone. Nice, definitely above avg. and worth trying. Well done and all the flavors blend together well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark red into Guinness pint glass. Spicy nose with a huge musty malt profile. It is a bit complex in the nose… I get some fruity and herbal notes. The flavor has that spicy traditional stong hop presence. Sweet with roasted and bread notes. Its a nice blend of complex flavors. Will buy again.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottles. A light amber color with a minuscule, off-white head that is more of a ring that laces. Body is clear and slightly sparkling. Mouth is medium-full, light carb, and wet. I smell hop flowers, fruity esters, peanut-brittle, and molasses cookies. The flavor is surprisingly well-hopped with pine, grapefruit rind, and some peachy notes. Otherwise I taste sugar, a touch of caramel, wheat bread, and a woody, astringent finish. Another fun brew from Lagunitas.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bomber. Pours a very nice deep red copper, big head of beige foam. Great nose with red and dark fruit, earthy malt, caramel, mixed with citrus. It tastes excellent, a certain sweetness balanced with lively bitter hop, more pine coming through. Smooth drinking, a little warmth, and a lingering bitterness that overtakes the sweet flavours. Spot on.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2014 Pours dark copper with a rocky white head. Aromas are Caramel, pine, citrus and dark fruit. Flavors are upfront hops that give way to caramel, stone fruits, bitter citrus...a slight herbal tone...and a touch of biscuit. Slight booziness in the finish. Medium mouthfeel. Delicious brew. Another triumph from Lagunitas!
