COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum.

12oz bottle from my brother. Pint glass. Appearance: Pours an amber hue wih nice clarity. A one finger beige head. Leaves a ring of rentention. Spotty lacing. Aroma: Citrus and piney hops. Caramel malts. Taste: Citrusy, somewhat sweet hops. A little bit of piney bitterness. Excellent balance with smooth caramel malts. Mouthfeel: Smooth creamy, Perfect mouthfeel. Medium bodied with good carbonation and a lingering hoppy yet balanced finish. The malts and hops just blend seamlessly. This is truly a beer with balance. Will probably buy my own sixer of this.

Pours a dark orange red with about a finger head. Aroma is sweet with cherries and what seems to be a hint of brown sugar followed by mild hops. Taste is also on the sweet fruit side and mild hops. Can taste the malt in a postive way. Very smooth, a perfect fall beer. Light to medium body.

Pours clear red with a medium fluffy off-white head. Aroma is a huge punch of citrus/pine hops and just a little bit of caramel hops. Flavor follows suit, with a large malt backbone followed by a nice bitter hoppy finish. Nothing too outside of your typical high ABV red IPA type beers, but you simply cannot beat Lagunitas when it comes to price.

On tap Blackthorn Pub, Holly,MI...beautiful brick red pour with minimal head. The aroma of fresh hops and sweet malts lead the way to beer Nirvana as this stuff is perfectly balanced and complex, yet easy drinking that I never wanted it to end. However, the glass was finally emptied and I was back in every day reality.

22oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Dark, reddish orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Tangerine and grapefruit hop aroma mixed with sweet caramel. Juicy tropical fruit taste of pineapple, mango, and tangerine blended with a boatload of caramel and toffee malts. Bitterness lingers on the palate but the fruitiness of the hops helps this from becoming too sweet or bitter. Awesome beer!

Wonderful aromas of tropical fruits. Lovely fruity taste with hints of flowers. Bitterness is under me perfectly balanced. The aftertaste fills the mouth a long time. Easy to drink and not too bitter. Simply a beer for me. Love it! Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Tap at Muddy Pig. Beautifully executed pour in a tulip glass. A prominent reddish color with lacing that knows no bounds. Aroma is the signature hopness of Lagunitas. A really enjoyable taste...mostly hops but with a well balanced undercurrent of sugar sweetness. The sweet qualities linger in the finish quite well. Another incredible effort by this brewery.

Bomber. Pours a dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has caramel, malts, grapefruit and hops. Flavour is incredibly smooth, very well balanced.
