Full bodied creamy almost sticky mouthfeel. Soft carbonation.

Big flavor, yum! Very nice balance of bitter hops and sweet malts. This is a pretty rich beer so you can’t drink too many of them.
NOTES: BBCSD-0812-Corey msante79 (778), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA Jan 16, 2009 12oz bottle from Lagunitasfan. Pours clear deep reddish amber with nice light tan head. Aroma is full with malts, hops, citrus and some spices. Flavor heavy on malt and hops with some citrus and spices. Nice thick mouthfeel with good carbonation. Good full flavored strong ale that ends with some bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Solid ale. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 11, 2009 Copper-red in color, clear. Very stong tasting and very hoppy. Excellent, full flavored strong ale. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jan 11, 2009 Pours a clear red/amber with a small white head. Nice sweet citrus, and honey hop aroma. Flavor is also sweet caramel and citrus turning into a slightly bitter hop flavor. Very smooth with few harsh flavors. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jan 8, 2009 This poured amber to brown in color with a moderate head that fades quickly. The nose gives off aromas of citrus, caramel, red berries, orange pulp, malt and spice. In the mouth it was medium-bodied with good flavor concentrated and nice balance. The palate was smooth and rich with some lingering bitterness on the finish. TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA Jan 8, 2009 The pour is red hued, and a small dingy ring of bubbles makes up the head. The aroma is sweet hops, with some fruity/floral overtones. The flavor is exactly what the aroma leads you to expect, the hops are strong, the bitterness pervades the whole beer flavor. The finish is slow and flowery. A good beer, not a session beer, but very good.
ElDuderino (136), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Jan 6, 2009 On tap at The Roadhouse in Brookline, MA. The body is a translucent reddish brown with a tight pure white head. Nice light floral aroma that is crisp and light. Lovely up front hop taste that is full of citrus peels and sticky pollen. Bitterness is hidden well by a balanced light malt backbone that disguises the alcohol very well. Really drinks like a much lighter beer with all the flavors of most DIPAs.
