Commercial Description:
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum. O.G. 1.072 84.2 IBU

POurs with a medium size head that quickly dissapates. Heady aroma of pine and lilac. Delicious biting palate, with a sweet hoppy backbone. Delciious beer.

Pours a pale sort of weak red color. A small white creamy head. A malty caramel nose with a big dose of citrus hop. Strong grapefruit flavor. A little bit of brown sugar and toffee, but the bitter is the star here. A pretty rich mouthfeel. It is a good beer, but I’m just thrown off by the ’red.’

I poured this beer on my side table and I can smell the damn thing where I am sitting which is more than a foot away! This beer has a nice hop, caramel, and sweet malt aroma to it. I am very impressed with the aroma. Very aromatic, all of the ingredients smell crisp and fresh. The beer has a nice reddish/brown caramel look to it. The beer also has a thin bubbly head. I like that the beer is opague. Great color indeed. I must go back to the aroma. The aroma hop is so crisp it is hard to not notice. I am ready to try this thing. Well balanced as far as the hops and malts are concerned. The bittering hop just lingers on the back of my throat. Man that is good. The malts are hitting the front of my tongue, so I am getting the simultaneous matl and hop taste. The balance is just perfect. The bittering, flavor, and aroma hop are all there, and the malts are there for some sweet support so the bitter doesn’t get too out of hand. The palate of this beer is great, a nice creamy beer that you can rub around your teeth and gums and it just makes everything better. Very impressed with this beer, and I must say bravo!

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Clear, mahogany color. Off-white head has nice longevity and lacing. Sweet aromas of caramel and maple. Excellent mouthfeel leaves a dry finish. Flavor is similarly sweet but with a clean, crisp bitterness at the end and a lingering aftertaste.

Bottle. Beautiful crystal clear red brown ale with a nice beige head. Fruity hoppines, sweets and herbs in the aroma. Nice balanced taste. Sweet at first but finished with a kick of hops. Flavour notes: caramel, car seat and grapefruit. The size of the 35 cl. bottle matches perfectly on the upper shelf in my fridge, i better go get some more of these..
