Pours solid amber with a nice solid head of white. Aroma is floral, with notes of hops and apricot. Flavor is sweet and sour apricot. Full mouthfeel. Fantastic beer. greenhorn1 (458), Mission Viejo, California, USA Oct 19, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber with a red hue. Nice tight frothy head, high carbonation. Aroma and flavor is a nice balance of bold sweet malt and floral hops. There is also some grapefruit in the background. Short crisp bitter finish. Lagunitas has yet to disappoint me, a must try. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 19, 2007 Tap at Flying Saucer in Htown. Deep reddish amber color with tan head. Nose is hops, hops, hops...floral and piney aromas. Flavor reminds me of a great amber with IPA qualities...good hop and malt balance. Full bodied with a great finish. Love this beer. chef201atc (249), Weatherford, Texas, USA Oct 18, 2007 on tap at the Houston Flying Saucer. Deep reddish copper colored pour with a nice rocky tan head. Nose is just awesome – dominate piney hop aroma, enough maltiness in the background to balance it out. Mouthfeel is just a touch sticky, but otherwise perfect. Great flavor, the hops are up front and followed with a malty sweetness that doesn’t go overboard. This is another great beer from Lagunitas – they continue to impress. badlizard (2325), Berkeley, California, USA Oct 16, 2007 On tap at Stone. Reddish copper brown with a creamy white head. Hoppy aroma, sweet caramel taste with a big bitter bite. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Oct 15, 2007 Bottle. Nice red color with copper hues, little bit of a loose white head. Decent floral profile with a very light grapefruit component. Hoppiness is a tad muddled as opposed to the clean aroma. But it’s still a very refreshing hoppy brew and one I’d come back to. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 15, 2007 This was a very good dark amber red ale with a nice malt and hop finish and had the right after taste to the end, very recommended.CHEERS!
