Oct 11, 2007 12 oz. botle pours a ruby red color with hints of amber and brown. Huge tan head on the pour with a sugar coating of lace. The scent was of hops, citrus and some light yeasty notes. A great taste with hops dominating over malt, but not too agressively. A very spicey, piney after taste and good finish. Highly recommended ASA.

Oct 10, 2007 Draft at Bailey’s Taproom, Portland. A hazy brown beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of berries and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, hops, fruit, and berries.

Oct 8, 2007 Taster at the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth. Red colored with a decent head. Strong hop aroma and flavor. Keeps a good brussels lace. Good balance for such a strong beer.

Oct 8, 2007 Bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours clear mahagony with a small, frothy,
off-white head, somewhat lasting, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, warm bread),
heavy hops (flowers, citrus, pine), light yeast (dough) with notes of brown sugar, candied
fruit, and cloves. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation and a slight bitter
finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Oct 8, 2007 Dark copper with red hues large tan head. Malty sweet citrusy IPA like aroma. Great hops presence, lets you know its there. Excellent hops malt combination as the malt fights to make it presence known as well. Dry and bitter with a nutty finish. Aftertaste is unsweetened grapefruit. Fabulous American Strong.
