brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA Sep 21, 2007 22oz bomber. Aroma is decent, pours a deep amber, taste is very malty wish it had more of a hop taste, not as well balanced as i hoped. Not bad but also not the best. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Sep 20, 2007 Had on draft at Brews in Granville. POured a dark amber color. Very floral and hoppy aroma. Taste was actually much more malty then I was expecting. Very delightful brew. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Sep 19, 2007 This stuff rocks! Pours a rusty amber with a nice off white head with good lacing. Nose of citrusy hops, with a heavy malt character. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA Sep 19, 2007 Pours a copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops, caramel, and sweet malts. Flavor is sweet up front with the sweet malts and caramel and finishes decently bitter with the citrus and pine hops. Nice lingering flavor on this one. Another good Lagunitas brew. Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA Sep 18, 2007 This was good. It poured a dark gold with a nice head. The sweet malt came in first, coating the mouth, followed by a strong hop finish. It seemed fuller bodied and stronger than a typical Red. Tejas (693), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 18, 2007 Updated: May 6, 2008Draught > Flying saucer. I like this. Perfect mix of sweet and bitter. Starts sweet and smooth then finish hoppy. Great beer, IMO. Definitely my favorite Lagunitas thus far. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Sep 17, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours reddish copper color with lite brown head. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste of grapefruit and sweet malt with bitter after taste. Aroma and taste of lite Double Bastard, outstanding ASA. Wulfstan (509), California, USA Sep 17, 2007 Updated: May 28, 2008This is a rich, flavourful beer with complexity, body, great balance and a pleasant, flowery element in the finish. It’s full of strong flavour, yet very drinkable and smooth. A nice reddish-brown, it has a rich foamy head with good lacing.
