Commercial Description:
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum. O.G. 1.072 84.2 IBU

Not as strong or syrupy as i was expecting. A very nice hop scent and taste of hops, hay and celery with slight spices and a very fruity malty balance. Medium body with a crisp yet smooth palate. Finishes a bit flowery but not overwhelming. The finish could be longer and more pronounced.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Dark amber/red color with flat tan head and lace. Strong fresh hop aroma. Very fruity malt taste with clean dry finish hoppy, slightly cinnamony finish that almost hurts. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Pretty tasty, a little different from the usual IPA glut.

tap- big centennial hop aroma, and nice hop flavor (fruity, not super citrussy though) which is not overwhelmed with alcohol or hop bitterness. Not carmelly or overly malty which tends to bother me in ambers. Nicely done.

Bottle. Copper pour. Small fizzy tan head. Aroma is spicy hops, caramel, flowers and raw nuts. Taste is hoppy and semi-sweet with caramel, nuts, citrus fruits and spicy hops. Some flowery notes there as well. body is medium with a strong carbonation feel. Lots of burping with this one. Ends with more spicy and floral hops, citrus fruits and oils, caramel and doughy malts.

NW hops on the nose, piney and citrusy, caramel malts hidden in there too. Pours a dark red/amber with a dense white head. Very hoppy, not that balanced up front, there is a malty sweetness in there, and i get some good malt flavor on the back end. Its an IPA thats red. Still very tasty.

"Red" is the wrong word. This is a strong ass ale that is full of flavor. Nice hops. Strong taste. Really good.

Tap at Pizza Plant. Red amber body, off-white head, fruity hop aroma. Peach, juicy fruit and hops, balanced, nice finishing bitterness.
