a10555 (123), West Chester, Ohio, USA Sep 5, 2007 Matt, God Bless you for thinking of me when you got the opportunity for getting this. (Rivers Bend Wine & Spirits). What a great beer, bright fruity aroma, deep amber color and the flavor like most Lagunitas beers is outstanding! I really hope that it loses the limited release tag.
yobdoog (1426), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Sep 4, 2007 Updated: Jul 9, 2009On draft, nice dark reddish brown. Not that much head from bartenders pour, but little head did retain. Aroma is nice and balanced and gets better as it warms. Mild scent of sweet hops. Nice hoppy flavor with some bitterness lingering. Onto Storm king, ready go. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 2, 2007 Pours out a big white head with a great red color. Huge hoppy floral grapefruit aroma. Has a nice grapefruit dryness on the aftertaste. Very hoppy taste but balanced nicely by the malt. A very good offering by a great brewery. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 06/18/2005

drink it good and cold and it is not as thick but still has the big hop flavor on a rich carmel malt base, best colder than warmer

when warm it thins out and the alcohol shows up and ruins the party

juiceisloose (634), Windermere, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2007 Thanks to mgumby for sharing this with me. Poured a deep red color with a thin light colored head. The aroma is of piney hops, spices, cinnamon, and some malts. The flavor follows much the same with the sweet malts coming through and the hops in the background. It is medium bodied with a nice long bitter finish from the hops. This had a really nice sweet flavor that was balanced out well from the hops. Really good brew and easy to drink. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a small but lasting off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malt, and light caramel. taste is the same as aroma with a hint of citrus hops. Medium body with a strong but well balanced bitterness. Very good. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2007 Pours a fairly clear dark maroon with a small, quickly disappearing light tan head. Smells of floral hops, mild spices and cinnamon. The taste is very malty, really dominates the hops from the get-go. Kind of syrupy in texture, with a profound little spicy bitterness in the finish. The hops are definitely noticeable towards the end, with the sweet malts coming into back it up. Pretty solid brew. Good flavor, easy to drink. Not bad at all. hellbilly (1493), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Aug 29, 2007 pours a rich dark red/copper color. aroma makes me wish i could drink through my nose...a hoppy citric aroma with hints of pine and sweetness. ultra hoppy/grapefruit flavor without the bitterness. nice malty/ caramel back bone. lively carbonation with medium mouth feel which makes the glass sticky. i initially thought the bitter finish was hops...turns out it was alcohol
