Aroma is filled with hoppy citrus, very aromatic. Flavor pine, a little sweetness, very light caramel, malty, nice clean bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, this beer has some liveliness to it, I very much enjoyed and would recommend. GAManiac (1144), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours a deep, clear reddish amber with a creamy beige two-inch head that shows exceptional retention and lots of lacing. A really good looking beer.
The aroma has an initial grassy hop aroma with some citrus coming through as well before the toasted caramel malts start to dominate. A well-balanced combination of hops and malts in the nose.
The taste is almost as good as the aroma with the citrus hops starting things out with a juicy bitterness with the healthy toasted caramel malts forming a big backbone. The finish brings a little bit of spicy pine resin stickiness.
The mouthfeel is sticky with hops and medium to full bodied with plenty of carbonation.
I love hoppy reds and this one is no exception, though I’d probably put it a notch below the best in the style. Nonetheless, it’s very drinkable and a very good beer. blutt59 (2096), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated light brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was malty brown malt and mild spice. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops and Irish red malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
