Commercial Description:
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum. O.G. 1.072 84.2 IBU

Central Market-Plano: Pours a clear deep amber/red with nice beige head. Aroma is filled with hoppy citrus, very aromatic. Flavor pine, a little sweetness, very light caramel, malty, nice clean bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, this beer has some liveliness to it, I very much enjoyed and would recommend.

12oz bottle courtesy of Nick3 poured into a tulip. Pours a deep, clear reddish amber with a creamy beige two-inch head that shows exceptional retention and lots of lacing. A really good looking beer. The aroma has an initial grassy hop aroma with some citrus coming through as well before the toasted caramel malts start to dominate. A well-balanced combination of hops and malts in the nose. The taste is almost as good as the aroma with the citrus hops starting things out with a juicy bitterness with the healthy toasted caramel malts forming a big backbone. The finish brings a little bit of spicy pine resin stickiness. The mouthfeel is sticky with hops and medium to full bodied with plenty of carbonation. I love hoppy reds and this one is no exception, though I’d probably put it a notch below the best in the style. Nonetheless, it’s very drinkable and a very good beer.

Piny bitterness, dark caramel, cabernet aromas.Clear burnt sienna w/ sufficient tan head. Real smoth in the mouth. I taste pine, dried plum; bitter and sweet almost too well balanced. Has a dark finish.

A pretty fruity aroma, some hops. Some lime and orange maybe. Now this is tasty. A great hop flavor, some sweetness, a bit of caramel malt. Overall awesome.

Dark brownish-red, very light carbonation. Sweet malty aroma, mild with slight spicy zest. Hop bitterness is dominant in palate, with slight hints of cinnamon.

Pretty ok beer. Amber pour, off white head. Citrus hops, floral hops, caramel malt. Flavor is malty but has a nice bite of hops. Some citrus notes and a hint of caramel. Not bad.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated light brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was malty brown malt and mild spice. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops and Irish red malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
