COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Special Ale is, in reality, a reconstructed exhumation of the very first ale that we ever brewed way, way back, in 1993. Brewed with a big head, a muscular malty thorax, a silky texture & all strung together with a hoppy sweet nerve sack... yum.

Pours reddish copper clear with thin tan head. Hoppy aroma with bready, citrus pine flavor. Creamy body with clean finish.

Appears a reddish brown with decent 3 finger beige head that sticks around for more than a minute. Decent webbing is left from this one. Smell is of caramel malt, along with some pine and grapefruit dry hopping. Taste is awesome. Lots of hops on top of a decent caramel highlighted malty brew, making for a kickass red that demands attention. Mouthfeel is pretty good. Sugary sweetness with a nice hoppy bitterness to balance it out. Medium bodied with nice carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks TomDecapolis. Poured a medium orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of bread, caramel, citrus, and pine. Tastes of bread, light grapefruit, pine, and caramel. Sticky body. Lightly bitter.

Pours a cloudy red amber with an average sized tan head that laced the glass. Aroma of caramel and citrus. Flavor is suprisingly very hoppy with a malt balance at the end. The flavor in this one is very intense.

Bomber: Dark hazy orange with some particles, very small white head. Rich smoked pine and some citrus in the aroma, thick mouthfeel, syrupy texture, starts and ends bitter, with a long sticky bitter aftertaste.

Nice hoppy aroma, with some caramel. Taste is a bit of alcohol sweetness, caramel, and that’s it. Body is lovely and smooth.

Crosling (1863) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - AUG 20, 2005
C-hop hopsack aroma, woody, resinous and piney, with a bit of malty caramel as well hiding under the perfect red body and bountiful foam. Malts are biscuity and caramel laden, loads of caramel, with a silky texture, a soft body and a fairly substancial Centennial and Chinook blast. Amplified balance

Over the top bitterness to this beer with not much else. Nice red tinge and good alcohol aftertaste make this somewhat different, but, eh, it’s like an unbalanced red IPA.

aracauna (3055) - Georgia, USA - AUG 7, 2005
Medium coppery brown with a large cream-colored head. Citrusy hops hit the nose first followed by a solid malt backbone. A solid red ale with forward hops that fit in nicely.
