3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
"Red" is the wrong word. This is a strong ass ale that is full of flavor. Nice hops. Strong taste. Really good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap at Pizza Plant. Red amber body, off-white head, fruity hop aroma. Peach, juicy fruit and hops, balanced, nice finishing bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Purchased in Olema, CA, not far from Lagunitas. Served in a pint glass with small 1/4 in. vanilla head that dissipates quickly into a thin coating with some lace. Big hoppy aroma for sure with burnt wood and caramel. Lots of carbonation but it finishes surprisingly smooth. Definitely one of Lagunita’s better beers.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deep reddish color, with a very inviting bright, fresh floral hop smell. Light beige head. Taste is as expected I’d guess, and is a "big" red ale. Quite well hopped, with a semi-strong rich lasting alcohol and hop aftertaste making it a bit difficult to drink. Not my preferred style, but good nonetheless.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice strong hoppy aroma. This pours a dark reddish-amber, with about a finger of head floating on top. Nice sweet malt flavor to start with, then a long finish of citrus hops. Alcohol is very well hidden. A very drinkable beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Stone World Bistor and Gardens. poured a dark redish amber with little head. Citrusy hoped with a hint for fuitness. Flavor is sweet and hoopy, exactly as you would expect from and imp red. Like all Lagunitas brews, nothing to crazy, except the packaging, but an above average drinkable brew.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear amber brown. Definite orange hue going on there. No head after a minute or two, but there is a lot of lacing left. Nose is very mild with what seems like an alcohol infused apple. Flavor is a bit hoppy, but not too much overall. Alcohol is noticable on the palate, but not overpoweringly so. Mostly just gives a deep earthy flavor profile. Feel has a good level of carbonation to it and a nice liquid body. Overall it is pretty drinkable. Not the strongest of strong ales, but it definitely doesn’t lack some kick. Smooth and even, but not showy at all.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from a 12 oz. bottle at the Illini Homebrewers Club meeting. Deep red pour. Citrusy grapefruit aromas dominate the aroma with just a hint of malt. It’s all about the hops once it hits your lips. Huge citrusy hop character. I wish I had a whole bottle of this to try and not just a small sampling.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Reddish copper with an almond colored frothy head. Tea leaf hop aroma with some strawberry esters. Flavor dominated by a hefty swath of hops-a combo of grapefruit, pine, and tea- which results in a smooth but assertive bitterness. A very fine hoppy quaff from Lag.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark clean copper with a small head. Aroma is fantastic! Big grapefruit, piney hops, hints of floral and malt. Flavor is even bigger grapefruit. WOW!! Bitter and sticky. Pine, hops, malt. Finish is dryish and bitter. Top notch!!!!
