Deep reddish copper colored pour with a nice rocky tan head. Nose is just awesome – dominate piney hop aroma, enough maltiness in the background to balance it out. Mouthfeel is just a touch sticky, but otherwise perfect. Great flavor, the hops are up front and followed with a malty sweetness that doesn’t go overboard. This is another great beer from Lagunitas – they continue to impress. 505 (271), Echo Park, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Poured from the bottle a deep garnet red with off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma was hops and malts. Flavor was a blast of piney hops followed sweet malts and finishing with a bittering hop bite. Silky mouthfeel, even with all those hops. Tasted like a mildly sweet IPA, very good! unclemattie (2446), Georgia, USA

Citrus hops aroma (grapefruit and lemon). Nice bitterness up from with a bit of sour mixed in. Nice balance of bitterness and maltiness. Bitterness does linger on the tongue, but not in a bad way. Alcohol nice really apparent. Nice beer. Swalden28 (1535), McKinney, Texas, USA
