3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Nearly black color with a red hue. Frothy off white head. Aroma of vanilla, saltine cracker, rum, grain and chocolate. Tart, chalky cocoa flavor with a relatively light body and a slighty sour finish. Low percieved bitterness. Somewhat along the lines of a strong Baltic Porter in my opinion. A good beer, though not a contender for the best Imperial.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured almost opaque with thin brown lines around the edge of the snifter, nice tan head...smelled mild with hints of chocolate and vanillla...tasted sweet again, with chocolate, vanilla, creamy coffee...thin bodied, but still a great mouthfeel...this is definately and A plus sweet stout with a bonus of 8.2...this might be a good intro to the impy style for some...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Is this a porter or a stout? Nice flavor and appearance. Since it has a higher alcohol content, itís too sweet for a stout. Ití s a great beer though. Itís just unique.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle) Pours a dark brown with a large, creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raosted nuts, and a hint of hops. Flavor of chocolate, vanilla, and cream. Palate is creamy and considerably thin to be referred to as an Imperial Stout.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is richly sweet with decent maltiness and some smoke. Beer pours dark brown, but not nearly opaque with a tan, reddish tinged head. Initial impression is that this is really thin for an impy stout. That said, there are some decent flavors here: light malt sweetness with a bit of roasted nuts. I can see why this rates so low in reference to style, becuase it just doesnít measure up. Too bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Nose is sweet with molasses and honey and prune. Taste is mild. Not much here for an impy. Some sweet apple on the finish. Too sweet for an impy. Where are the chocolate malts? Are we sure that this is not a sweet stout?

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours black with a tan head. sweet roasty nose. flavor fulfils the roast promise from the aroma. touch of chocolate in the finish. this is a bit one sided and leaves a watery mouthfeel. not a bad imp, but not something to write home about.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2005 Yíall are retarded. This is the best imperial stout Iíve ever had. I can only say that though because A I havenít had too many Impy Stouts and B I donít like stoutsusually. This one is fine though. Pours a dark garnet hue. Giant Head that lingers on and on. Nose is excellently roasty. So milky as well. Sweet on the tongue. Notes of currants, rum, brown sugar and blackened beef. Sweet and milky with a fair amount of alcohol. Dude it rocks!
