COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Having downed his forth Imperial Stout of the day, the wild eyed charlatan from Voldvostogniaky belched and hollered for the Czarina to enter his chamber and bend herself to his will. The economy was a wreck and revolt was just around the corner. Nicky the Czar dude was off playing soldier like any pale nobleman with a hemorrhagic skin condition would. Such were the final days of the old empire. Reactionary, decadent, sputnik, stroganoff, weird, and drunk. But even as the proletariat countryside labored under inhuman conditions and a threat of being sent to a futile war in the east, they wisely took the time to slam back an Imperial Stout or two. After all, life can be a real "suka", as they say in the old country. Big, black, bourgeois, bolshoy, belligerent, buxom, and scary - this is our version of the chaotic end of an era in a bottle.

The aroma is strong, sweet, roasted coffee. Taste is bold in malty sweetness with a hint of hops. Tastes like smoked molasses.

Its dark and thick like a good stout should be. Even the head tastes good. Like a good root beer float for grown-ups.

22oz bomber. I like this a lot. Had this at the end of a long, terrible day and it was exactly what I needed. Great flavor with notes of chocolate and burnt caramel. Pleasantly smooth.

Light tan head. Strong coffee aroma. Assertive coffee flavor with a rich earthy backbone. Finishes dry with lingering smokey and coffee aftertaste. Medium body.

Great flvor in this one. Not too bitter, not too watery. Just right. Pours jet black with a thin head mocha colored head. Mmmm, aroma of sweet chocolates, caramels, and roasted barley. I just love this beer, my favorite from Lagunitas and very under-rated here. The taste is what really hooked me here. It is so crisp, refreshing, yet bold, smokey, rich, and dark at the same time. A great summertime stout.

Pours black thick brown head. Looks great. Aroma has a nice roasted note with strong hops. Flavour is amazing it has all the deep roasted malt character that you expect from stout with an excellent and complex hop assortment of hop flavours. this is an amazing imperial. Wicked stout. Flavours linger and develope. this is an amzing stout. Perfect blaance of hops and dark malts just amazing. Best stout ever.!! (pretty fuckin good by any stretch.)

Aroma of dark malts and thick oily brew, you can tell this is going to taste the business. Nice and dark, mine didnt have gread head/lacing but the other glass did. This, tastes, great! It is thick, and oily and dark and sweet and theres hops at the end, its really really tasty. The thickeness lasts for a long time in your mouth and reminds me of all the dark brews Ive made and the thick black malt Ive tasted, this is nice and sweet and brewed just right. This is just fantastic.

this is really my perfect beer. Then why not 5 stars? There are better beers for sure. Transcendent beers that take your breath away. Those beers get 5 stars, but you would nt want to drink them all the time, just like you wouldnt want to eat lobster all the time. This is a beer that can be enjoyed endlessly. It is an everyday beer of optimum excellence.
