3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber pours a very dark brown with lasting tan head and good lacing. Nose is full of roasted malts and hops. Aroma is not as hoppy as I first thought it would be, but has dark chocolate, toast, molasses, and coffee. Taste is slightly salty at first, then sweet, and finally a little drier and hotter in the finish. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Body is medium plus. without very much carbonation. Overall, this is a very good, somewhat unusual Imperial stout, which I think has 80% of the delights of the best ones at less than half of their price.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
From bomber. Wow. I like this so much more than so many of the imperial stouts I?ve had. (Maybe it helps that I’ve had this cellaring for a year or so.) Black with huge tan head that would have overrun the glass had I not intervened. Big rich roasted malt and chocolate aroma and taste with coffee and a very pleasant gentle sweet and bitter balance. Thick creamy mouthfeel. Perfect lingering balanced finish. So nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home. marrone scuro, riflessi rubino. schiuma beige finissima e persistente. Equilibrata, armonica.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
De geur valt goed mee. als je het bier uitschenkt is het pikzwart van kleur. Wat de smaak betreft: ik ben niet zo voor stouts, maar deze valt nog mee. Hij is drinkbaar.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle found in fridge. Pours a dark brown, almost black, but not quite. Aroma is strong malty, burnt sugar, molasses, more like a barley wine than an imperial stout. Taste is dry, smooth, some more burnt sugar, but missing the strong chocolate and coffee flavors. Interesting beer.
