This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

This was a flavorful IPA with a nice hoppy flavor. Tried this one at Taco Mac.

Pours a hazy golden amber with small floaties and an average foamy off white head. Aroma of iced tea, some citrus from the hops, caramel malt but really nothing too stand out. Not sure how old this bottle was. Picked it up at the local six pack shop...but I don’t have too much faith in how quickly they turn over products. Onto flavor...pretty much the same iced tea, malt sweetness and some decent hop bitterness. Not much hop flavor.

Lagunitas event at the Brickskeller. Clear orange appearance; off-white head with great retention and lacing. Some citrus hops, plastic (?) in the aroma. Slightly off. Medium mouthfeel: floral and citrus hops, one-dimensional, but reasonably tasty and balanced. Light, slightly dry finish, with hints of sugar.

A nice drinkable IPA. Not to overbearing with anything. Nice easy aroma of citrus, maybe some pine. Nice and crisp, will drink again for sure.

In their 22-ounce bottle. Pours a very dense dark gold color with a foamy white head. Hoppy aroma and big hop bitterness. Medium-bodied, with a dominating hoppy flavor and underlying clean malty flavor. Slight, lasting citrusy char. Visible sediment. Very drinkable.

This beer starts with an aroma of grass clippings and pine. It pours a clear amber, with a thick white head and good lacing. The taste is of a strong malt beginning, with a pine and bitter finish. It does have a fairly heavy palate for an IPA, but it fits well with the style. One that just recently became available in my area, and a good recommendation for a session ale.

Clear copper color with a thin white bubbly head. Sweet smell of dried fruit and a slight hop nose. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A lot of hop bitterness, but not much hop flavor.
