A surprising and unfortunately average offering from Lagunitas. Looks and smells like an IPA, but the taste is flat. Enjoyably hoppy, but flat.

Average for the style in my tasting so far. Sometimes these IPA’s work in the sixer variety and this is one of those beers. Enjoyable, but not slap your momma great lik the Hop Ottin.,

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark amber with a large head. Fresh citrus and hops are the predominate aroma. Nice amount of hops, for an IPA. Not too dominate but, a significant part of the flavor profile.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a nice hoppy beer. The aroma was floral. I like the crispness this beer had. I am going be enjoying this, this summer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Dark amber color with a decent head. Aromas were minimal, with some floralish hints. Flavors were slightly better. Hops were there, but not much in the way of a malt backbone. OK, but not great.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Intense fruity aroma. semi fruity flavor but lacked fullness. Something just made it not feel like an ipa. But it was still pleasant. Nice summer beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours rich golden with good carbonation. Aroma is intense hops with fruity and floral bouquet. Initial flavor is very balanced, with the hops eventually overpowering the rich malt. Finishes with a lingering bitterness, but overall is VERY smooth for an IPA.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Typical IPA with nice nutty finish. Leans towards the american but slightly more roasty, malty, dark, which is nice, but still not enough to elevate an IPA, which doesn’t need to be as solid and balanced as this one. Perfectly fine beer but not my cup of tea.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange color, small off white head. Slight floral aroma, smells a little sweet. Not much carbonation, not much initial flavor either. Pleasant finish, a little fruity at the end. Not bad.

Cloudy orange appearance. Quite sweet for an IPA. Pleasant to drink and somewhat fruity in the end.
