This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet youíre on.

From a bottle: Pours a copper orange color. Lightly malty and citrusy aroma. Flavor is somewhat malty with floral hops and citrus fruit rind flavors. Moderate clean bitterness. Clean and crisp finish. Balanced and very drinkable but nothing stands out about it.

From bottle : A medium dark orange color with a white foamy head. Nice floral hops aroma with pine. A heavy medium body. The flavor is a little spicey, but very well balanced with the hops and malts. A little bitterness stays on the tip of your tongue, its a nice aftertaste.

Orange body with lemon yellow head. Head has various sized bubbles in clumps. Lines of tiny bubbles line the sides of my pint glass. Lots of navel orange citrus aroma. Familiar nose of walking through a pine forest as well. Really full and spicy flavor/mouthfeel. Light aftertaste after the onslaught of hop bitters during swallow. The entire flavor stays on a packet on your tongue and disappears with the swallow. A light sharpness remains on the back of my tongue, but thatís all. Pretty good IPA.

Citrusy and spicy. Pretty tasty. Could sit and drink a few of these. 65 malts huh...?

6pack from Bevmo La Mesa. a little too much on the "herbal" side for me, never the less a great IPA.

$8.49 for a six pack at Broudyís. Nice floral hop aroma on the opening of the bottle ( cheap twist-off). Flavor is mild sweet malt and hops to start and then completely overcome by the hop bitterness. Long bitter finish. Body is medium to light, bordering on watery. Also a bit mild in terms of ABV for an IPA. Emphasis is definitely on the bitterness with this one. Still a pretty good brew, even with the minor faults.

This IPA was more like a pale ale to me, ather than an IPA. Not real hoppy, not real memorable, in fact, not much of anything going for it. I also donít believe I got 12 ozs. of beer in my bottle because of the space left in my mug after pouring in the entire bottle. I thought it was 11 ozs., but after spending some time searching the label for the quantity, I found it listed in the contents (not where Iím used to looking, most brewers donít put it there). Another personal note: I dislike their commercial description. I will not buy this again, with all of the other GREAT IPAís on the market. Also, I donít know where they put the 43 different hops and 65 malts because I didnít taste that much of either. They probably put them the same place Budweiser puts them!

Pours a dark straw color with a head that slowly subsides. The nose on this one isnít all that big, but at first sip the bitterness really comes out of this one. Not very malty, and the bitterness kicks in right in the middle and doesnít let go. A pretty avg IPA, donít think I will buy it in the near future.

This is a basic IPA, maybe even a little boring. Was not overwhelmed by flavor and there was not a lot going on in this $2 12oz bottle. Bland for an IPA, I thought.

Orange in color, floral hoppy aroma, taste is well balanced mix of malt and hops. A great IPA.
