COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2007 I like how IPAs rest in my mouth. Aroma is of heavy grapefruit, hops, and irish ale yeast. Flavor is a bit strong but grapefruit, lemon, and some tangerine can be tasted. It looks like any other IPA really. Pretty decent, but nothing amazing.

22 oz bottle. Pours a nice red amber with a decent head with tons of lacing. You can smell the strong hops aroma when you pour it into a glass. There is a nice balance of carmel malt and hops, but I like my IPA’s with more of a bite. Citrus and pine linger on the palate. Overall: not bad, not great.

On tap at the Yardhouse in Pasadena, CA. Amber with reddish highlites suporting a 2 finger off-white head. Herbal, citrusy aroma with plenty of hops bouncing about. More of the same in the flavor - the hop profile is quite high and slightly over the top in relation to the malt but still not particularly aggressive. Mildly carbonated and short, bitter finish with a touch of grapefruit. 43 hop varieties?? Not so sure what that’s all about aside from marketing but the brew itself is a decent IPA.

12oz bottle poures amber/gold with thin white head and mostly aromas of carmel. Low hop bitterness with a citrus hop finish. Overall an alright beer, but more of a strong pale than an IPA.

Pours an amber color with thin white head. Nice lacing. Has a "earthy" hop aroma, not as clean and fresh as some IPAs. Flavor is very citrusy and also has quite a malt (caramel) background. Has a bitter finish. Solid IPA but nowhere near Smuttynose or Tyranena.

Nose is hops with a little caramel malt note.Amber in color with a small orange-tinged head. Very nice hop flavor with medium bitterness and some citrsy notes; aftertaste is slighlty bitter.

Ontap at The Map Room. Standard IPA hop notes with pine asserting itself over the citrus attributes. Has a nice lingering bitterness that qualifies this for a nice session IPA.

Flowery hop aroma, would prefer a bit stronger though. Nice flavor though, very complex, hits bitter,l then has a pine, flower, caramely finish. A little overcarbonated for my tastes. Poured a nice orangish amber, with a nice head, and good lacing.

Bottle at home, bought at Bibendum vinbutikken. Clear amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma: hoppy (garden flower, pine needle), a little sweet caramel. Taste: very aggressive hoppy bitterness (grass and pine), sweet malts. Aftertaste:Hop, grass and citrus.
