COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2005 A "REAL" Winner! When someone tells me a particular beer is a regular award winner, I am instantly skeptical and unconsciously think I will already dislike it, as if to say - award winner hah! well we’ll see about that... But this multiple award-winning IPA is truly a winner in my book. On tap at the "Sweet Spot" bar in Santa Rosa, CA. pours a beautiful yellow gold with saffron highlights. its frothy beige head goes the distance kept company by the ubiquitous chunky lacing. the aroma can only be described as "berry delight" or "fruity tooty". rasberries, strawberries, grapefruit, cherries. there all there. pine hops and toasted malts hide out in the background and assuage the strong citrus bellowings. tastes of light hops, (corresponds to the slightly bitter taste), sweet malts, grapefruit, and dough. finishes crisp and more solidly bitter. light mouthfeel. Refreshing!

IMtheOptimator (1161) - Bethel, Connecticut, USA - DEC 22, 2005
Poured a clear effervescent amber iwth a large creamy/frothy off-white head. Aroma of pine hops and a touch of caramel. Taste is fairly mild but clean pine and floral hops, some brown sugar sweetness and a dry finish backed by a bit of toffee. Easy-drinking, straight-forward, run-of-the-mill IPA.

Pours copper with a white head and lots of floaties. Smells of citrus, pine, yogurt, wildflowers. Tastes of citrus with some mellow wildflower notes.

deep amber with a white head. gamey flavor that is very nice, tastes fresh or homegrown, Earthy. With this the beers palate is a little course and unrefined but the whole product is still fairly good.

This is a well balanced brew. I prefer an IPA that’s a little more bitter, but this is an excellent choice for those that prefer a more malty beverage.

Orange beer with a small off white head. Light caramel malty aroma with a citric hoppy fruityness. Sharp hoppy bitterness along a low key malty sweetness.

Bottle. Clear copper color with an average rocky white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Good hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body. Moderate hoppy bitter flavor with an average finish. Good brew.

12oz bottle - Pours amber with a short white head that stays pretty well but doesn’t lace much on the way down.. Aroma is light grapefruit and pine with a fair malt presence as well in the aroma. Flavor is not as hoppy as other west coast IPAs I’ve had. Fairly balanced a nice blend of caramel malts and citrus hops. Palate is smooth and medium bodied. Very drinkable would make a nice session.

unlike some over the top american ipa, this is a well balanced brew. hazy orange colored appearance with yellowish head. floral aroma of grapefruit and citrus. full bodied, hoppy as should be. though i do think the 43 different hops and 65 various malt recipe is probably a commercial gimmick.
