COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet youíre on.

Pours nice amber, aroma of grapefruits, light malts and hops, linge of grassey pines. Formed medium foamy head. My mouth is watering. Initial impression is heaven. Simply a wonderful IPA beer. Easily sessionable. Wish I had a kegger of it.

Nice orange-golden color and a nice. creamy head. The aroma has some spicy hops, grass and resin. The flavour is sweetish, fruity with notes of flower and caramel, grass, resin and a rather tart grapefruit, that continues in the finish. 2252

On tap at Palmer Place in LaGrange IL. I thought this was a well done IPA. But Iíve had better examples of this style, so I didnít go crazy with the ratings. Iíd prefer a Bellís Two Hearted or a Three Floyds Alpha King over this beer.

Bottle. Pours a golden brown with a white head that dissipates pretty quickly but leaves a nice lace on the glass. Aroma of hops and citrus. Nice flavor, somewhat in between a pale ale and IPA in hop strength. Probably one of my more favorite IPAs.

12-oz. Pours a crystal-clear rubied medium amber with towering white bubbles that fall to film and spotty lace within a minute or so. Smells pretty good--gentle citurs, kinda orangey. Light body and carb make for a pretty mild attack; it picks up some bitter resin and maybe even a dab of pine for the finish. I had myself worked up into expecting more of a sueprstar based on the Maximus, but this is a tasty little sessionable-ish IPA.

Solid IPA. More balance than many. Not as strongly hopped as some, so make of that what you will. Nice citrus tart flavor in there. Have had better, but this is very enjoyable,

Pours a nice red amber with a one finger head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is mild citrus and floral hops. Taste is bitter floral hops with little of the citrus in the nose. Not too oily which helps mouthfeel. Good typical IPA, but nothing spectacular. Like Duster said... Its very drinkable, so this one will be purchased again.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2007 This right here is an above average IPA. Lagunitas knows what theyíre doing. They give you what you expect and then some...

Bottle poured a clear copper with a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of carmel, pine, light earthiness and a hint of grapefruit. Palate was medium dodied and slightly dry. Flavors of pine, carmel, earthiness and a hint of citrus with a lingering bitter finish.
