3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper-orange pour with a small frothy white head. Wet fresh citrus and pine aroma. Nice citrus hop flavor upfront fading to a sweet malt and pine finish. Surprisingly clean finish for a strong IPA too. It almost has a slight lager like character in the finish. Medium body with soft but plentiful carbonation.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I’m an IPA fan and this is an excellent example (at least on my palate). I had it in a bottle, cold, and accompanied by spicy food (a perfect balance to the citrus, sweet and bitterness of IPAs).
I found it to be similar in malt sweetness and hop bitterness to Boulder Brewing Co.’s Mojo IPA, and Sierra Nevadas’ excellent Fresh Hop Harvest Ale.
It has a nice piney and citrusy hop aroma. A distinct yet subtle maltines, followed by a not-to-harsh fresh hop bitterness and grapefruitiness. It finishes with a sweet + bitter taste that wow’ed me. One of my TOP 10 for sure (and I’ve tried hundreds).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Off-white head and an orange/amber body. Piny hops aroma. Really aggressive hop flavor right at the front. Little bit of astringency. Nice finish that goes off on the sweet side.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color, not much of a head but has decent lacing. Aroma is more malty than hops. The mouth feel is very malty also . Not much hop bite in flavor, nor in the aftertaste. Not a great representative of an IPA compared to the other great ones out there.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy orange with a healthy off white head. Very sweet citrus up front with a mild hop finish. Pretty good beer, but not what I expect from an IPA. (Will have to try this again on a night when I haven’t already had a Hopslam.)

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2009 gold-copper with medium orange head, leaves lacing. Citrisy and fruity hop aroma, bitter taste but not extraordinarily so for an IPA, some malt sweetness with a long dry finish. creamy mouthfeel.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a copper-orange color with medium head. Citrus flavors matched the color for a very balanced Pale. IPA’s aren’t normally my thing, but Laguinitas make a hell of a beer. It was very smooth and drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2013 Pours an orange color with the smell of citrus. Although not my favorite type of beer I’ll try to be objective. Very hoppy and the taste of citrus orange was the most prevalent flavor. Very bitter, but not bad for an IPA

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a nice copper color with a thick long lasting white head. Hop aroma just billows out of the glass, like sticking your nose in a bag of hops. A few more whiffs and I get some malty caramel notes, also. Taste is nice and hop bitter. Not a lot of malt, but enough to balance out the the powerful hops. Finishes very clean with just a touch of the hop bitterness. Very smooth and drinkable.

Hazy pale amber with tiny short lasting head. Hoppy aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Flavor is mild sweet with hoppy end. Thanks for sharing Joergen.
