This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Lightly beige head on a saffron colored body. Smells is of hops, duh, tons of citrus and rosemary, lovely. Tastes, well like an IPA, nice caramel finish on this one though. the finish is extraordinarily clean, it just seems to disappear down your throat, but a mild bitterness lingers. Very easy drinking I must say. Probably the most satisfied I have been with an IPA.

Bottle: Vibrant orange, soft haze, thick foamy white head, beautiful lacing, very low carbonation.   Soft hop nose, noticable sweat (wet grains).   Very pale hop profile, soft, subtle, nice, but not as sturdy as I would have liked.   Somewhat fleeting, mixed with a touch of tobacco leaf.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish, fairly light overall but decent.

Copper upon pouring. Thick, off-white head. Aromas of big hops, tons of citrus (grapefruit and pineapple) and some pepper. Tastes full bodied with tons of lupulin and a finishing burst of hops and citrus plus a final black pepper hit on the tonsils. Marvelous.

Pours to a thick creamy, rocky white head that quickly thins to a patch head with a ring around the glass. Pretty good lacing. The body is a copper kettle color. The aroma is huge grapefruit and oranges. Aroma faded a touch, but is still fairly potent. The flavor is rich and caramely with a good bit of oranges and a light grapefruit. Appealing, but nothing spectacular. The palate is pretty good. Could be crisper. Overall, this is a good beer, but the brewer has some room for improvement. 43 hops? 65 malts? Shouldn’t this be off the hook?!?!?!

On Tap at Kahootz: With a light copper color, this IPA showed like it is supposed to - grapefruit tastes in the hops with average carbonation. The only word that I could think of after trying this one was: yummy.

Amber with a nice hoppy aroma. Flavour has some decent malty flavours with a medium bitterness and hopping. The first bit didn’t seem that hoppy but it built up after a while.

Bottle: Courtesy of beerguy101 via trade. Aroma is citrusy, but not citrus hoppy, with light caramel. Pours a transparent orange with a white head that lasts a minute or so. Light caramel up front with a slightly watery piney hop finish. Decently balanced but flavor just aren’t that strong.

Smell is faint for an IPA, but the body is beautiful. The head just blends ianto the flavor, which is mildly hoppy as far as IPAs go. Truly, though, this beer is best described as delicious. A must try, especially since this is the type of IPA that can be enjoyed numerous times in one sitting. Thanks parents!

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2008 Citric, slightly herbal leafy hop aromas, solid maltiness, tannic tea-like bitterness. Dryish, but big mouthfeel. Very nice!

On tap. Poured a slightly murky copperish color, with a lacing, thin white head. Smelled of grassy hops, and watered down malts. Tasted rather sweet and malty, with grassy hop notes, and a slightly hidden citrusy hop flavor. A rather watered down flavor in my opinion, but an easy drinker. Was not impressed by the brew!
