This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty, citrusy, and resinous, with hints of bread and barnyard. Taste/Palate: sweet throughout; starts crisp, and finishes creamy with a long bitterness. Not perfect, but pretty damn close.

Poured from a 22. Mouthfeel is very thick and almost syrupy. Has a sweet "everything but the kitchen sink flavor. I could not pick out a distinguishing flavor, it was all just there.

355ml bottle, poured into tulip. A: Golden colour, clear, one finger head morphed into a lid of film. Lots of lacing clung to the side of the glass. S: Mild citrus but bizarrely really strong strawberry ice cream was the dominant flavor. T: Strawberry, molasses, citrus, biscuit. M: Creamy light texture, not overly carbonated. O: The sweetest IPA I’ve tasted, but it was balanced and not cloying.

Light amber pour with a nice white head. Lots of white lacing. Citrus pine nose - very nice. Solid hoppiness in the taste, while the malt is present it does is certainly in the backseat to the hops and bitterness. A fine IPA.

Bottle. A very good West Coast IPA, lighter than some, but still full of fruity flavours and backed up by a load of bittering hops.

phikus (75) - syracuse, New York, USA - OCT 28, 2014
This beer needs to be fresh and is best on tap. It has a west coast pine zest aroma with some maltiness. Flavor follows suit. When fresh this is perfectly balanced straight to the finish but it doesn’t take much age for this beer to begin to take on an unbalanced sweetness

Bottle at a Wetherspoons in Reading. Typical easy drinking US IPA, though this gets the hops balanced just right. Could make for a good session.
