COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Had on tap at Wayside in Biltmore. Totally solid IPA. Pours just on the orange side of the pale/ipa spectrum with a decent head. Not overly carbonated. Taste is reminiscent of all the good west coast IPA’s in terms of malt and hop profile- pine, resin, citrus, grapefruit.....blah, blah. Well balanced and not too dry on the finish. Just a totally solid IPA. Nothing spectacular but accomplishes what it set out to be in spades- a very enjoyable, sessionable, not-lacking-in-the-flavor department IPA.

Very sweet on the aroma and cloying on the palate. Did not taste right at all for style like a sweet Belgian vs an ipa.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a red/golden body that yields a half finger white head that lasts for about thirty seconds. No carbonation is seen rising. Some spotty light foamy lacing is seen trickling around the sides of the glass. The smell had some malts in front of the hops and comes out very strong. There is some caramel that comes out as the beer warms. The taste was pretty much the same with a nice added sweetness, very much impressed. On the palate, it sat about at a medium, sessionable, balanced wet/dry aftertaste and finish. Overall, this is a good IPA, however, with the malts coming out as strong as they do.

A- Pours a tangerine color with a thin, fizzy head that fades fairly quickly. S- Lots of in your face, grapefruity hops, floral notes, very sweet smelling. T- Very bready and grainy with light fruit notes and a deep grapefruity hop character with slight bitterness towards the finish. M- Medium viscosity with quite a bit of carbonation. D- This is a fairly drinkable IPA but just does not seem to be balanced. The hops just don’t meld well enough with the sweet, lightly fruity malt.

12oz bottle into Le Duvel - nose is cat urine that has settled in carpet for a while. Sweeter than I expect for an IPA. OK, it’s a little hoppier that it is sweet but still... I don’t believe the hype.

on draft and poured a amber yellow color with nice white head. plenty of lacing on the glass. the aroma was very nice and almost mild. the malts and more predominately the hops. the flavor was very good. has that mildness in the malts with the hops on top and blended nicely. nothing bad about this one. now that they are in the area will get more.

Top shelf IPA, had it at the Brewery, get it every chance I get. Perfect example of a West Coast IPA. Great bitterness, light malt, nice aroma when it’s fresh.

On tap at Hopcat E.L. Nice ipa, I would say middle of the road. Not the best, not the worst. Would try again.

Pours an amber yellow color with a white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, and hops. Flavor of grapefruit, passion fruit, pine, and a quick bitter hop ending. Very nice!
