3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 ml bottle at Harry’s, Halmstad, on May 4, 2014. From backlog.
Clear golden color, big fluffy lasting white head, leaves plenty of lacing on the glass. Sweet, malty, green, hoppy, forrest mushrooms, slight bit of raw onions scent. Sweet, sugary, malty, bitter, hoppy, wort, citrus taste. Citrus aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Dry, bitter finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap in the Euston Tap. Golden colour. Big initial sweet boozy feel. Hoppy, obviously, some spruce, some sweet citrus. Malty sweetness too. Medium bitter finish. Don’t really know what to do with this beer. Too gassy and sweet (not to mention strong) for drinking by the pint, a bit cloying actually. Maybe I just prefer a more overtly bitter and moreish beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yes it does, it does float my boat. Lustrous golden amber in colour with a ski of bright white head. The aromas dwell on the resinous with spruce cones, conifer gum and herbal grassiness along with some dessert pastry. The flavour is a carbon copy of the aroma with a good muscular twinge of hoppy spruce driven bitterness. An archetypal West Coast IPA.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at The Saddle Range in Costa Mesa, Orange County on 12th July 2014. A very easy drinking and pleasant IPA: plenty going on within the brew, mild citrus front in both the aroma and taste to this hoppy beer. Thin white head on a body that was almost orange in colour. Refreshing and although hoppier than the IPA’s I drink in the UK I enjoyed it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Copper-yellow color with a white head. Aroma is mildly-dank grass, floral. Taste is tropical fruit and that mildly-dank grass with citrus and pine hops that aren’t strong for an IPA, and a balancing malt sweetness. Like most Lagunitas brews, this is unique compared to other IPAs, and I like it quite a bit.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crisp copper gold color with a little head from tap. Fresh hoppy aroma. Medium thick with some bouncy carbonation that fizzles after the after taste. Hoppy forward taste with a hint of that soapiness I get in a lot of lagunitas but its less intense than most of their beers. This is probably my favorite of theirs.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
650ml bottle at home. Clear golden with a medium to full white soapy head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Well balanced bitter- and sweetness. Citrus, pine, grapefruit, spices and malts. A very smooth, refreshing and tasty IPA.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium bodied yellow beer with huge white head. Aroma of hops is quite restraint, almost some English notes in there. Quite bitter and bread. Slightly cardboardish, so I am afraid this is quite old...
