3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Floral piney, tea nose. Very lovely honey amber, with particles in suspension. Small whitish head dalmost completely disappears, yet leaves nice lacing. Earthy, fainttly caramel malts, woody, medium body, great mouthfeel, more earthen dusty hops, with a resinous finish. A darn nice brew I must say. Well balanced I must say.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark amber body with off white frothy head. Glass had lots of lacing though out the beer. Had a citrus aroma and had a good alcohol kick at the end like most IPA’s I’ve had do. Good beer, liked it,

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Average IPA, Light to moderate hops, NIce color and head but not as bitter as i like ’em. all around, it was good but didn’t stand out among the many IPA’s out there

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale golden color with yellow accents. Fruity hop aroma, not overly resinous. Smooth mouthfeel with medium body, nice maltiness balanced by very floral and citrusy hop flavor. Residual resin and spiciness sometimes evident in hop-dominant beers is not present. Excellent example of an American IPA. Not as full flavored as I tend to enjoy, but very drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice fluffy creamy head. Some citrus mixed with flowery hops but not over the top on the hops. More like a pale ale than an IPA. A bit of malty flavor too. Some spice is revealed as it warms. Good but there are others on the shelf I’d reach for first. One & done.

I really like this IPA. Nice hop flavor...nothing overboard. Nice white head and crisp flavor.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not an IPA I would buy. Signature off, Lagunitas nose. Boring and oxidized finish very bland pale ale, not an IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2006 March 1, 2005: Just sampled a couple of these on tap at JFK Int’l while waiting to board a delayed flight. Overall, I found this IPA to be very tasty and satisfying -- a NICE effort!
Tried this again on tap at the Blue Tusk in Syracuse, NY -- excellent IPA!
12 oz. bottle on Nov. 15, 2006: This is a VERY tasty and well-balanced IPA. A bit more subdued (i.e., not over-the-top hoppy) like some of the other West Coast varieties, but this is definitely a winner.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer poured an orange/brown w/ golden highlights w/ thin head and lacing. The aroma was citrusy and flowery w/ hints of pine. The flavor was all oranges and pine. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2005 Bottle Pours a clear amber with a very small off white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is mainly hops. Flowery and piney mostly. Flavor is a nice sharp bitter hopiness, with some full malty flavors imediatley following. Feel is not as thick or full bodied as my favs of the style. After taste is a quite bitter lingering burn. A bit much.
