This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Nicely balanced but surprisingly small for a Lagunitas and surprisingly small for a west coast IPA. The right flavors are all there, but it lacks the intense bitterness, intense citrus, intense pine I expected ... but it looks great, with a wonderful creamy mouth. Enjoyable.

Pretty orange with a nice head. Interesting flavors ranging form carmel to fruit. Has a great hoppy finish.

Clear salmon tinted orange with a beautiful, full head of creamy foam. Butter and caramel, with loads of hop resin in the aroma, spruce and medicine jar. Malt is very lush and bold, creamy and full with a rich caramel, toffee and fruit flavor and I believe there may be some diecetyl, but in a desireable way. The hops are spicy and piney and could stand to be kicked up a notch or two, to be honest. I find it quite nice.

In the bottle at the Huber Haus IPA tasting. Orange with an off-white good sized head. Sweet malty aroma with bread-like undertones. Low carbonation. Decent lacing. Solid malty palate. Seems like a much higher IBU content than 46. Strong hoppy finish on the tongue. Good gypsum flavoring. Rich sweetness.

Color is hazy, ethereal orange, with a 3/4 inch diminishing off-white head, small bead and some lacing. Aromas are orange citrus, white bread, and a walnut/almond nuttiness. Upon tasting, a floral hop quality, sourdough, and some soapy alcohol notes make up the flavor profile. Mouthfeel is thick and somewhat creamy, with a strong hop bite and a fading, effervescent hop/malt finish. Overall, a decent, complex IPA. Maybe not as assertive and hop-dense as the big boys, but a must-have on any comprehensive tasting to show off flavor and palate.

golden amber with a large head and lots of lacing. heavy fruit flavors and aromas through-out with a special kick of hoppiness at the end of the beer. Great for an IPA

Beautiful hazy and deep copper color with a creamy, sudsy and graying head. Big fresh hops jump out of the glass accompanied later by grass, papaya and grapefruit. A very inundating hops accentuated aroma. Flavor proceeds as lighter than expected. Caramel, nectarines, honey and sugar basking grapefruit. A little thin on the palate. Reserved but balanced. Finishes like honey soaked diluted hops.

Pours with a big but short lived head. Light yellow with a slight haze. Sweet aroma, fresh hops of a NW variety. Refined candied malt flavor, balanced with big floral, estery hops. Finish is drying, crisp. Round earthiness. Very good.

Dark orange-bronze color with a thin head. Light fruity maly aroma with some citrus hops. Very fruity flavor--almost a hint of peach tea--with a very subdued hops edge and some nice creeping hops bitterness in the finish. Fairly full-bodied and well-balanced but lacks real crispness.

Six pack on vacation out West. Dark, aggressive, american style IPA - more bittering hops and less aromatic - maybe close to a Hop Devil?
