COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2007 12oz bottle: Crystal clear light copper color with medium sized fluffy white head. Aroma has fair amount of subtle citrusy hops, bit of light caramel. Flavor is bit malty, fair amount of hops, with balanced finish. A nice, simple IPA, nothing fancy, but solid.

They weren’t lying when they said "heavily hopped", as it is dominant in this drink. Of course, I didn’t mind and continued to sip the sixer. Reminds me of Celebration Ale "light."

I found this refreshing. Yes, it could have been a little more balanced, but I enjoyed the hops. I like this better than the Maximus. Lots of Columbus and others in there, really refreshing. My favorite IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 golden amber with a huge, no make that really huge head with big dents and craters like the surface of the moon...the mango aroma hinted of tartness and subtle alcohol, lightly carbonated? I think not, heavily carbinated, well yes, not a bad thing though IMO...hops were pretty mellowed out and balanced until the finish came around where they popped out like a little birdie in a coo-coo clock... super hoppy finish and slightly fruity with bitter mangoness

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2003 Smelled very strongly of American hops, and poured a light amber with a decent head. The flavor is very nicely balanced. Good bitterness from the hops without being medicinal, and then a crisp malt finish that isn't too sweet. The hops aftertaste sticks around for a while.

Not bad, but nothing great either. With so many great IPA’s out there, im afraid i probably wont be buying this one again.

A standard west coast IPA. Typical citrus aroma and flavor. A well-made beer though, and well-balanced. A good representation of a U.S. IPA.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2003 “Oh yeah baby”, lots of “Little Fernies” a floatin’ in this beer, a hazy amber color the head modest, the texture frothy, the color and off white with a nice covering of lace. Sweet malt, light hop floral tone also noticed, quite sniffable, sweet malt start, the top moderate in feel. Finish has a definite acidic bite, the hops potent in their spicy bite, dry and long lasting aftertaste. A great beer from a great brewery got a couple of its bigger brother aging away, and that would be “Maximus”!
