COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Julios Spring Beer Festival. Aroma of distinctly Cascade hops (a trend I would continue to find at this festival). Pour of lightly hazed golden amber. Flavor follows with a swift kick of West Coast hopy fury, but reigned back and fairly balanced. The palate is a little thin for me, but smacks nicely of cranberries. Solid.

A light amber ale with a good foamy head that lasts a little while. Very bitter tasting with a bit of malt. A very average beer in my opinion.

Robe blonde claire aux reflets orangés surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse en dentelle qui persiste. Arômes d’agrumes. Saveurs de malt caramélisé, d’agrumes et de houblon aromatique.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear, very bubbly, orange-amber with an average size lasting foamy off-white head. Decent lacing too, this is a good-looking IPA. Nice mild citrus hop aroma, a little bready and also some roasted malt. Flavour of sweet malt, a little bready, with some citrus and pine hops and a long dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Doesn’t knock my socks off but it’s an enjoyable version of the style.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, my bottle. Poured clear light amber with a decent lasting tight foamy straw-coloured head. Nice fresh citrus juicy hop aroma (orange and sweet grapefruit, some pineapple and apricot) with decent light roast malt - not overwhelming, but very pleasant. Pretty standard IPA taste, a bit soapy, the hops are quite muted though - has a softly bitter finish. This is pretty average all round on the palate - moderately carbonated, moderately astringent, relatively quick finishing with a bit of a orange peel aftertaste. Not bad, there are many ahead of it from Cali.

Orange color. Smell of grapefruit, pine and hops. Tastes like a sour grapefruit mixed with pine, rye and very bitter. My kind of a IPA.

bottle from cafe st. ex. good balanced bitterness, but too full-bodied. the malts are quite present and the finish isn’t as clean as i like. also seemed to be a bit oxidized, possibly just old since it’s probably not that popular a beer at st. ex. age might’ve also dulled the age on the hops.

12oz bottle: Initial floral hoppy aroma with the sweetness of the malt taking over. An orange copper pour with a minor head. Good medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor starts out with hop bitterness but quickly progresses to a malt sweetness. Mouth feel is slick and smooth. Solid IPA.

[Tap – Blooms & Brews, Silverton Oregon]
(Oregon Craft Brewfest at The Oregon Garden) Poured deep copper color with a frothy, creamy white head. Aroma was like a pine tree. Flavor was also piney with grapefruit. The hop flavors were very present in the brew. Slight bitterness comes through in the end. Medium bodied. Very smooth and drinkable. Very well balanced. This is a nice IPA.

Really good aromas of pine, grapefruit and grass over a copperish body with a bunch of floaties. The only criticism I can come up with is that the malt is pretty light in this beer and there is a little bit of a weak spot as the palate develops. Other than that, this is a finely crafted IPA with a nice balance.
