This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

pours out a reddish orange color with lots of hoppy peices floating in the bottom of it. not near like laconner dh, but still, a good amount. poured into my newly acquired st bernardus glass :) little to no head on this beer. smell is hoppy, grapefruity and piney like most ipas. taste is sweet and hoppy. this is a pretty good ipa and a typical of a CA ipa. not bad at all, i like it. very smooth and easy drinking.

This had a creamy eggshell white head that rode on an amber beer that was hazy and showed some yeast sediment from the disturbance of it’s bottle conditioned yeast cake. Caramel aroma sets the stage for the big grapefruit hop that is up front. Creamy sticky smoothness with a long bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle. Two finger off white head capping a cloudy light brown/dark gold body. Strong hop nose. Typical IPA flavors-bitter hops, some citrus, a heavy dose of lemon, and a little salty taste (!!!). The salt taste fits in really well with the overall taste. Finish is quick and crisp, like lemonade. This is a very smooth drinkable IPA. I Would gladly have 10 or 12 more.

Light amber brown with lots of stuff floatin around in the glass.. Lemon hop aroma. Pretty big lemon grapefruit hop presence. This is a pretty good IPA, but nothing too spectacular.

I got this in a 22 oz bottle. It is hard not to compare this to Lagunitas Maximus as it is very similar. Head is not as white and intense, but still attractive. The color is a unique red/gold/orange amber. Good hoppy flavor and nice finish. This to me is what an IPA is supposed be like. Great balance, and simply a very well crafted brew.

Pours a nice amber color with a silky white head that leaves moderate lacing. Nice fresh hopped aroma. The hops carry through in the taste nicely with a good bitterness towards the end. Nice crisp taste. Slightly acidic taste afterward, but still a nice brew.

(12oz bottle) Pours near headless and a highly-carbonated, orange body. Nose of a rather musky-cascade and goldings hops. The initial milky, tart flavour gets walloped by a tart hoppy-world. Very good. Thanks to Lubiere for picking me up this during his recent trip to San Fran.

Man this brewery rocks! Everything they make is quality and very drinkable. Not necessarily knocking me out or anything like that but just in general good. This brew is no exception. In the glass: Lovely copper color just like the color behind the bottle in the picture to the upper left. Nice frothy head that lingers and lingers. Smell is excellently floral with a nice hint of the malt coming through all vanilla like and woody. On the palate. The floralness comes through much more intensely than the bitterness. This IPA does two things other IPAs don’t which are: 1.the aromatic hop boil is emphasized rather than the bittering boil. 2.the malt is excellently present and not overshadowed by the hoppy flavors. Great brew go get it Grat

Golden ambe rusty in colour with a thin quickly discipating white head. Nose is hoppy and grapefruity , taste is pretty good too. Hops with some grapefruity. Remember when you get hair spray in your mouth? Well, this is it, only in a good way.

Caramel and cookie malt; grapefruit and grassy hops. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a moderately bitter, lightly acidic finish. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. The bottom line is: there’s an odd (and strong) leafy taste that’s really bugging me.
