This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet youíre on.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a beautiful and clear copper color. Thereís two fingers worth of off-white colored head, with okay retention and a soft texture. This head leaves behind nice lacing on the glass. S: This starts off pretty malty. Once it warms up slightly, it develops a character of piny, grapefruity hops. The Lagunitas house character is pretty unmistakable - and as always, enjoyable. Their other beers show it off better, though. T: The hop profile here is pretty mild: thereís only a slight flavor of grapefruit and pine. What there is, especially post-swallow, is a decent amount of bitterness. Normally, Iím not a fan of this approach to IPAs, but thereís just enough sweetness to balance out the finish. Since there isnít much malt or hop flavor here, itís mainly reliant on the house character of Lagunitas to provide the flavor - and while it doesnít do a great job, it does just enough to make it solidly tasty. M: While itís a touch sweet, it has that clean, crisp feel I enjoy in IPAs. The dryness does a good job of counteracting itís slightly full body. Carbonation isnít much of a factor either way. O: Solid, but not my favorite Lagunitas offering. Still, its great drinkability canít be overlooked. It reeks of an old-school IPA with its prominent sweetness and generic hop bitterness - however, itís good enough where Iíd have no trouble putting it down again.

This IPA is actually really pleasant, you definitely know youíre drinking a hoppy brew with a nice bouquet of a varietal of hops giving this brew a nice aroma of fruit and floral notes and even a little grass. It has a nice apple juice color to it with carbonation and light silky head. The flavor is very light with little to no bitterness, very easy to drink. I just cant stop sniffing this brew! Cheers.

Draft pour at Mtc Office. Nice aroma, although a bit too fruity for an IPA. Taste is pleasant with little bitterness. For IPA, very drinkable, although low "hopiness".

Clear golden pour with fair sticky white head. Clean but a little skunky bud aroma. Flavor is citrus and grassy hop. Very bitter, but not overly harsh. Good solid IPA.

Draft. Pours a clear dark gold color with a nice white head. Aroma is a balance of malt and hop although it leans a bit more to the citrus & pine hop side. Taste is the same - nicely balanced, the malt and hops work well together. Finish is a touch dry, very good. Excellent!

Humlig doft och angenäm beska. Något söt, kanske inte så balanserad som man hade kunnat önska. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki. A color of clear golden with a little-sized but lasting white head. Aroma of pronounced tropical fruitiness, peach and apricot feature. Taste is medium bitter with lots of fruitiness. Peach and grapefruit feature, aromatic hoppiness. Palate is medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Very aromatic, tropical IPA.
