COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

This ale really hit the spot. Long hard day at work, a million one things to do before getting home, but all knowing that I’d picked up a bottle of this en route. A brief chill in the freezer, then into a big glass and mmmm. Classic pale ale colour, lingeringly frilly head, a real whaft of citrus and grass on the nose. Lovely balance in the mouth, light but with enough stickiness and solidity from a well constructed malt. Lingeringly bitter, just asking for the next sip. Yum.

Sampled on draught at the Bull in Highgate. Darkish gold colour with a white head. Aromas of malt and fruity hops. The taste has sweetish malts and very prominent citrus flavours from the hops. There are hints of grapefruit skin, apricot and lime. Not too astringent and with a reasonably dry finish. A really tasty and full-bodied IPA using American hops

12 Oz bottle. Clear copper with a frothy white head leaving decent leaving. Aroma of piney and floral hops, with some apricot notes. Flavor is mild sweet, but piney and resiny hop dominant. Dies away in middle, the leaves a long, resiny hop linger. Medium-light body with a thin mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Overall, some nice aromas and decent flavor at beginning, but then it all kind of falls apart.

Bottle, pours golden with frothy white head, good lacing. Aromas of floral hops, a little pine, light fresh citrus, grapefruit mostly, a little apple perhaps too. Taste is a good balance of lighter bitterness and light sweetness. Body is medium, nice fresh mouthfeel, good carbination. Very tasty.

Floral and lime aroma. Pours amber with a good amount of carbonation and off white head. Nicely balanced hoppy bitterness with some biscuit and grassy notes. Full bodied with some bitterness in the finish.

Hoppige ipa met lekker dik schuim. Bittere lichtzoete smaak die niet te lang blijft hangen. Makkelijk doordrinkbaar en dat voor Lagunitas !

Lagunitas India Pale Ale has a thick, off-white head, very heavy lacing left behind, and a clear, somewhat bubbly, burnished-gold appearance. Aroma is of sweet, white bread, mild, piney hop resin, and a touch of grapefruit rind. Taste is the same, and bitterness seems low, as one would expect from a 1995 recipe. Mouthfeel is medium and a touch slick, and Lagunitas India Pale Ale finishes fairly crisp and definitely easy drinking. RJT

Pours clear amber, small white head (very filtered looking). Aroma is more malt than hop. Taste is similar to other American versions of English IPA. Very drinkable.
