3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a beautiful and clear copper color. Thereís two fingers worth of off-white colored head, with okay retention and a soft texture. This head leaves behind nice lacing on the glass.
S: This starts off pretty malty. Once it warms up slightly, it develops a character of piny, grapefruity hops. The Lagunitas house character is pretty unmistakable - and as always, enjoyable. Their other beers show it off better, though.
T: The hop profile here is pretty mild: thereís only a slight flavor of grapefruit and pine. What there is, especially post-swallow, is a decent amount of bitterness. Normally, Iím not a fan of this approach to IPAs, but thereís just enough sweetness to balance out the finish. Since there isnít much malt or hop flavor here, itís mainly reliant on the house character of Lagunitas to provide the flavor - and while it doesnít do a great job, it does just enough to make it solidly tasty.
M: While itís a touch sweet, it has that clean, crisp feel I enjoy in IPAs. The dryness does a good job of counteracting itís slightly full body. Carbonation isnít much of a factor either way.
O: Solid, but not my favorite Lagunitas offering. Still, its great drinkability canít be overlooked. It reeks of an old-school IPA with its prominent sweetness and generic hop bitterness - however, itís good enough where Iíd have no trouble putting it down again.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In my opinion, this is the gateway IPA for newbies to the style. An oldie but goodie that is always a reliable fallback choice. The malt shines through more than the hops making it a PG-13 IPA by todayís standards. Mildly herbal, spicy and mostly biscuity to slight toasty malt on the nose. The flavor imparts a friendly hop bite that is citrus and floral enveloped in a toasty sweet malt character. Seems more English style inspired than west coast.

Alla spina. Una IPA classicissima, vellutata e dissetante con un marcato uso di luppoli "americani" che ne fanno un complemento dissetante e perfetto per accompagnare una bella cena in un pub.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Clear dark golden, thin white head. Sweet malts, citrus fruity, grassy, resiny sweet and medium vegetal bitter, some grapefruit zest. Full malty body, heavy oily/gelly texture, soft carbonation. Nice but not amazing. Less fresh hops and more malt than expected.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Piwo klarowne w kolorze bursztynowym z dosc obfita piana ktora pozostawia ladny lacing na szkle. W aromacie owoce tropikalne, cytrysy i ananasy. W smaku zywiczna goryczka na srednim poziomie. Czuc slody karmelowe i troche biszkopty. Wysycenie na srednim poziomie. Piwo dosc gladkie i przyjemne ale przydaloby sie troche wiecej chmielu zeby wszystko zaostrzyc.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ GMDH. Pours a hazy darker copper beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma of moderate citrus, zest, grapefruit and a big malty, bready sidenote. Flavor is light bitter, grassy with hints of cookies and very easy drinkable and sessionable. Carbonation is fairly high, aftertaste is long and light bitter. Very decent stuff.
