This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Pours a golden colour. Taste is very hoppy and dry. Too strong and too hoppy for a session. Good beer though

Bottled at St. Mazie’s. Pours a golden pale color, small white creamy head. Aroma is orange, citrus, Floral notes, malt biscuit balance. Flavor is caramel, orange, lemon, really really balanced. Not overly hoppy at all. Not dank. Very fresh. Awesome balance here. Not too much carbonation. Great IPA.

Served on tap at Lucha Cantina in a shaker glass. Good start and finish-the flavor lingers for a bit but it is a delicious IPA, probably my number one go to out and about.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 05.31.14. A: 2 finger fluffy white head. See through caramel body. S: Grapefruit with sweet malt. Also some daffodil. T: Malt and brown sugar dominate. Spices are subtle. M: Creamy. Somewhat chewy. O: This was a strange experience. A Lagunitas beer that is malt forward? Maybe I bought an old bottle. The hops were barely there and only on the back end. There was some bitterness but not much. This did not seem like an IPA. If the bottle was ok, this was a rare miss for Lagunitas. EDIT: Since early 2014, I’ve had more of this and the flavor is the same. It just doesn’t seem to be very hop forward.

Nice IPA I’ve had several times before. Seemed fresh and tropical hoppy. Nicely balanced.

On draft. Amber color with one finger white head. Tropical aroma. Taste is bigger than the aroma. Tropical fruit and some pine. Delicious.

A: Clear deep gold color. Not much head but glass was cold. Average to below average carbonation visible. Little retention S: Forward strong hops but a very noticeable malty sweetness in back. Great balance on the nose. T: Hop bite first but with a quick follow up of malt biscuit flavor. The slightest nuttiness Bitter but short hop finish. Again, well balanced in my opinion. M: Not much out of the ordinary. Light body with a good clean finish. Very good level of carbonation though. Not too fizzy, not too flat. I like it and could knock back several. O: Impressive in its simplicity, this is a good, nicely balanced IPA that I could drink regularly as it is not a hop "bomb" which I don’t care for. Well made beer that I would buy again.
