Phil_L (100), Kent, England Feb 11, 2008 Love this stuff! Great drinking ale, has supplanted SNPA for me in the best commonly available beer here (CA, that is) Very Californian, solid hops and malt balance, with long finish. Not for the hedonist, but for the drinker.
omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 17, 2008 Bottled at Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Clear amber, small head. Aroma of grapefruit. Lots of caramelly malt, more so than hops. Above medium bodied with good levels of bitterness. TOSG55 (17), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear orange, with a two-finger head. Aroma of citrus hops and a bit of malt. The flavor is assertively hoppy, though well-balanced with malts. Bready aftertaste, and very bitter. Solid, but there are many better IPAs out there. Russo (478), Campinas, Brazil Aug 13, 2008 on Tap@hill tavern. Dark red color, beige head, aroma is hoppy, roasted malt and caramel, flavor is refreshing and some note of hop and fruit. Mouthdeel is bitter. lightning9191 (55), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Aug 9, 2008 This is a huge hop beer. Almost over the top. The nose seems to be mostly Cascades with some other hops rounding it out. The flavor is big hoppy, but there is some maltiness to help balance it out. I’m not sure if I could drink more than one of these at a time due to the hoppiness. blipp (683), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours copper orange with a beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel and apricot, as well as grass and pine. Flavor is also sweet with grapefruit, caramel, and grass. Finish is long and bitter.
