COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Very complex flavor. Some fruit tones mixed with a bit of spiciness. It finishes with a touch of bitterness. All and all nice IPA with a moderate ABV level that gives a nice kick.

Appearance: this beer pours with a very large beige head, takes a bit to pour it down, has a very nice density, the beer is a very clear golden color Aroma: bread, egg, kind of faint, Taste: citrus, very light grain, bitter, perhaps some alcohol, some malty caramel Palate: soft carbonation, bitter aftertaste, medium mouthfeel Overall: not bad but not my favorite ipa by a long shot, needs more from the hops than just bitterness, strong malt background but still bitter

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Soft white head, good lacing. Clear amber body. Nose full of tropical fruit, pine and fresh grass. Flavour is bitter grapefruit, light berries, grassy finish. Crisp, fresh. Medium carbonation, good mouthfeel, fairly thick. Dangerously drinkable.

330ml bottle poured in a chalice. A: Pours a clean orange golden color with a small beige head. Good retention and many lacings left S: Smells like a traditional American craft IPA. Very citric, earthy and mainly grassy smell of fresh hops. T: Follows the nose. Deliciously bitter and refreshing. You can feel some malts and yeasts but its trademark is, of course, the hops. Very good bitter stuff M: Light body, medium carbonation and nice bitter and grassy aftertaste D: High. To be drunk in gallons (preferentially, sitting in a bar around the San Francisco bay :p) [ BA Review @ 12/11/2010 ]

Bottled 355ml. -at Crystal Palace (JDW) Glasgow. Clear amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, hops in the nose. Sweetish malty, grapefruity hoppy, light caramel and fruits with notes of grass and passion fruit. Pleasant bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

This is definitely not as dry and seems to tilt more towards the British style with hints of malty biscuit in the aroma and flavour. It is also a bit more full bodied and a little darker than the Big Daddy.

Golden color with a 2 finger frothy white head. Nice lace until I rinsed the glass. Aroma of florals and pine with citrus rind. I picked up some malt but it was fleeting. Taste was hoppy with pine and citrus rind and more of the fleeting malt. Good medium thick mouth feel. Pine forest burps... Overall a really nice beer.

Bottle@st Matthews hall, walsall. Amber beer with medium head. Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple and malts. Taste is grapefruit, moderate amount of pine resin, malts and pineapple. Fizzy and light to medium bodied. Excellent well balanced beer. Imagine this is a fridge filler in spoons!
