COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Pours a clear golden color with a rocky, off-white head. Nose is dominated by citrus hops with notes of pine. Flavor is firm citrus hopping with a slightly spicy, clean finish. Fairly light/medium body with nice hop acidity. Very tasty!

Hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma is grapefruity, citrusy, piney. Taste is following that: citrus fruits and pines, the bitter bite is not too harsh. Easily drinkable. Good classic IPA.

Light amber pour with a fairly non descript bitter aroma. Mainly a bittering IPA with a little passion fruit flavor coming through in a very smooth body. Good!

Finally got around to trying this on tap at Garret 700 yen half and 1100 yen regular. A brilliant copper color with a fruity hop bouquet. Med-light bodied with a soft mouthfeel. The taste is citrusy pine a bit dank with some balancing crackery sweet malts. Very solid.

DID YOU NOTISE LAGUNITA’S HOOCH MAKERS DO NOT DO THEY’RE OWN HOPS! TRY THIS IPA OR EVEN THEY’RE DUBEL IPA AND THEN TASTE PLINY (ITS THE PERFECT BEER SEVEN YEARS IN A ROW!) AND YOU NOW THE DIFFERENSE. LAGUNITA’S IPA IS NO HOPPY AND, ITS PROBLY 97 IBU WICH, IS JUST NOT ENOUGH IF YOU PUT IPA (INDIAN PALE ALE) ON THE LABEL. MAKES ME THINK LIKE WATER OR LITE BEER OR SESSHIONS. PLINY (200++ IBU) IS MEANING OF IPA AND SO FAR OTHER BREWERYS DONT GET IT. THEY ARE SCARED OF SPEND TO MUCH $$ ON DO THEY’RE OWN HOPS.

Bottle. Orange malt and grassy orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange/lime malt and moderately bitter lime/grapefruit peel flavor. Nice blending and body. I guess it’s a waste of time to say that this is a great IPA and probably the best you can get without a hassle.

330ml bottle. Nose is deep fruit, sweet grapefruit, orange, pineapple and some sappy pine notes. Taste follows but with impressively solid malts entering the equation. Dense syrupy fruits with heavy caramel notes. Great mouth feel, medium to full body. Drying but not crazy bitter finish with sweet fruit lingering on. Great stuff.
